Robert Maaser (born 19 July 1990 in Strausberg) is a German actor and multiple wheel gymnastics world champion.
Life and career
[edit]At the age of nine, he got into wheel gymnastics through one of his older sisters and successfully participated in the 2005 Wheel Gymnastics World Championships, where he won the junior title in straightline.[1] At the World Championships in 2007, he won four individual titles,[2] accumulating a total of fourteen world titles over the course of his athletic career.[3] He completed his Abitur in 2009.[4]
In 2010, he competed in Das Supertalent (the German adaptation of the Got Talent franchise), reaching the semi-finals. Between 2011 and 2018, he completed various acting programs and coaching courses, including at the Arturo Schauspielschule in Cologne in 2011 and at the Actor's Space Berlin in 2013.[5] In 2013, Maaser competed for the first time in the Cyr wheel World Championships and won the world title.[6] In 2015, he played a supporting role in the film Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.[7] In 2017, he portrayed the macho extreme sports athlete Tim Hayer in the daily soap Alles was zählt.
Robert Maaser is married and lives in Berlin.[3]
