Renaissance Sportive de Kénitra (النهضة الرياضية القنيطرية), commonly known as RS Kénitra or RSK, is a Moroccan association football club based in Kenitra. The club was founded in 1948 and historically competed in the upper tiers of Moroccan football.[1]
History
[edit source]Renaissance Sportive de Kénitra was established in 1948 during the French protectorate era in Morocco. The club played a major role in the local sports scene of the Gharb region, alongside regional rivals Kenitra AC.
During the 1970s and 1980s, RS Kénitra achieved its most notable domestic success, reaching the final of the Throne Cup in the 1977–78 season, where they finished as runners-up.[2]
In subsequent decades, the club experienced financial and administrative difficulties, leading to successive relegations into the Moroccan amateur divisions.[3]
