Matthew David Graham (born c. 1993[a]), also known as "Lux" online, is an Australian man known for being the owner of the "Hurt2theCore" website, along with other splinter sites with Hurtcore content, in which he nicknamed his "Pedophile Empire". He was arrested in August 2014 in a joint sting operation by the Victoria Police, the FBI, and Interpol.[1] He was charged with 13 child exploitation charges.[1][2] Psychiatrist Adam Deacon said Graham's motivation was the "ego boost".[3] On 17 March 2016, he was sentenced to 15 years and 6 months in prison with a non-parole period of 10 years.[4][5]
He is from Melbourne, Victoria. He was diagnosed schizoid personality disorder, depression, and social anxiety.[2][3] He was a student at Epping Secondary College and later LaTrobe University, studying nanotechnology.[6][4]
