Kehinde Phillip "Kenny" Aladefa (born 19 December 1974) is a Nigerian former track and field athlete who specialised in the 400 metres hurdles. He is also a physician who graduated from medical school in 2005.
Athletics career
[edit]Aladefa competed for Nigeria in the men's 400 metres hurdles at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, where he represented Nigeria in the opening rounds of the competition.[1]
At the 1995 All-Africa Games in Harare, Zimbabwe, he won a silver medal in the 400 metres hurdles.[2] He subsequently won a bronze medal in the same event at the 1999 All-Africa Games in Johannesburg, South Africa.[3] His personal bests are 13.58 seconds in the 110 metres hurdles and 49.60 seconds in the 400 metres hurdles.[4]
Education and medical career
[edit]Aladefa graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Biological Sciences. He subsequently attended St. Matthew's University School of Medicine in the Cayman Islands and graduated in 2005 with a Doctor of Medicine degree, transitioning from professional athletics to a career in medicine.[5]
