Kaone Tumalano Boko (born 15 December 1987), is a Motswana lawyer and is currently serving as the First Lady of Botswana as the wife of President Duma Gideon Boko since November 2024.[1]
Early life and education

Kaone Boko is an alumnus of the University of Botswana, where she earned a Bachelor of Laws degree. She is pursuing a Master of Laws degree, and has expertise in corporate governance, anti-money laundering and insurance.[3]
Career
[edit]She has worked in private legal practice, advising on corporate governance and business compliance.[3]
Kaone Boko assumed the role of First Lady on 8 November 2024 following the inauguration of her husband, Duma Boko, as President of Botswana.[4] She has promoted maternal health, hygiene, and youth empowerment and has spoken publicly on issues like child malnutrition and underage pregnancy.[5][6][7][8]
In 2025, she visited Sankoyo Primary School to promote educational access in rural areas.[9]
Personal life
