Impactive AI (Korean: 임팩티브AI) is a South Korean software company that develops artificial-intelligence-based forecasting tools for businesses. It was founded in July 2021 by Doohee Chung (정두희) and is headquartered in Pohang, with an additional office in Gangnam District, Seoul.[1]
Its main product, Deepflow, is used for demand forecasting, inventory planning, and raw-material price forecasting.[2][3]
History
[edit]Impactive AI was founded in July 2021 by Doohee Chung, a professor in the AI Convergence Department at Handong Global University who previously worked as an editor of the Korean edition of MIT Technology Review.[2][4]
In August 2025, Impactive AI raised approximately KRW 8.2 billion in a Series A funding round. Investors included A Ventures, Hyundai Investment Partners, Lotte Ventures, and CJ Investment, with existing investor Korea Credit Guarantee Fund contributing a follow-on investment.[5][6][7]
In December 2025, Impactive AI announced a strategic investment by Hyundai Motor's ZER01NE Ventures, which brought the company's cumulative investment to KRW 11 billion.[4]
At the 2025 ACM International Conference on Information and Knowledge Management (CIKM), held in Seoul, the company presented the paper “Quantum Deepflow: A Quantum-Integrated Forecasting Platform for Strategic Decisions in Raw Material Procurement.”[8]
In November 2025, Impactive AI announced a strategic agreement with Radial, Inc. to build customized demand-forecasting models, with possible expansion based on initial results.[9]
In March 2026, Impactive AI announced a joint research and development project with Germany's Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology (Fraunhofer IWU) on synthetic time-series data and forecasting technology.[10]
In June 2026, the company presented its paper “Multimodal Forecasting for Commodity Prices Using Spectrogram-Based and Time Series Representations” at the AAAI-26 Summer Symposium Series.[11][12]
Products
[edit]Deepflow is software that generates forecasts for product demand, inventory needs, and raw-material prices by combining a company's internal operational data with external market data.[2][3]
The Deepflow product line includes Deepflow Forecast, for product-demand forecasting and inventory planning, and Deepflow Materials, for raw-material price forecasting and procurement decision support.
At MWC Shanghai 2026, Impactive AI presented a version of Deepflow Materials that included market-intelligence analysis, technical-analysis functions, and an AI assistant. The solution analyzes global news and market data to identify factors affecting raw-material prices and support short-term price forecasting and procurement decisions.[13][14]
In 2025, Ildong Foodis, a South Korean food manufacturer, adopted Deepflow for demand forecasting and inventory management.[15] In 2026, Impactive AI supplied Deepflow to POSCO for raw-material price forecasting and to Ecopro Materials for raw-material price and demand forecasting.[16][17]
As of June 2026, Impactive AI had filed and registered a total of 75 patents in South Korea and internationally related to its demand- and price-forecasting technology, building on earlier 2025 patent registrations covering areas such as dynamic-pricing-based sales forecasting and product lifecycle prediction.[13][18][19]
