Flabellophyton is an extinct genus of enigmatic marine organisms that lived during the Ediacaran period. It was discovered in China in 2020.[1] A number of Ediacara-type macro-organisms (e.g., Arborea, Eoandromeda, Hiemalora, Pteridinium, and Rangea) are known to have remarkable stratigraphic, environmental, ecological and taphonomic ranges, which allow comparative ecological and taphonomic analyses.[2]
