New to Wikipedia biography article drafting

[edit]

I'm looking forward to hearing back regarding my draft article about Gerald Jonas, retired New Yorker staff writer and NYT science fiction book reviewer.

I worked hard through the early editing stages, with the help of generous Wikipedia editor/volunteers who guided me. (The learning curve, in terms of subject/content requirements and platform infrastructure was steep, but I am hopeful that I've adapted and learned quickly.)

The article, from what I understand, is now in the final review queue. If you spot any project tag or other tools I might have overlooked or misunderstood, please let me know. I'm eager to perform any final edits required and to see my first Wikipedia article go live!

Checking in....

[edit]

Hello all...I'm checking in (and trying to not lose the ground gained when I immersed myself in the Wikipedia eco-system at the beginning of September)...feeling a bit lost, as I can't find some of the conversation threads w/ editors who were encouraging about the final review of my draft article. (I'm feeling disoriented....between the article's "sandbox" and my profile's "talk" page.)

For what it's worth, I will post this and ask my basic question again: Is there anything I can proactively be doing to have this draft article reviewed for publication/release? I put so much time into the research and formatting of the draft article, the lack of updates in this editorial waiting phase feels odd. I can also see that the "waiting list" has grown, so possibly patience is the key.

Thanks for reading/advising! ~ Lisa (Vancouver, Canada) VancouverWriter (talk) 13:37, 24 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
