Comment: Please remove all LLM-generated text; ideally you should start over by removing all text from the draft (without removing any review templates). We do not necessarily expect you to write perfect or polished English. If you need general advice or formatting help, see Help:Your first article and Help:Referencing for beginners. Note that merely rewording the existing LLM-generated text is unlikely to resolve the problem of LLM usage. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 19:59, 24 September 2026 (UTC)
untitled (recs) is a British independent record label and management company based in London, England. Founded in 2017 by Alex Putman, the company operates across recorded music, artist management and artist development, while also working on projects involving fashion, art, film and live events.[1][2] It is known for its eclectic roster spanning alternative, experimental, electronic and contemporary music.
Its artists have included Jerskin Fendrix, deathcrash, DJ Spanish Fly, NEW YORK, spirit blue, TAAHLIAH, Famous, Horsey, Lauren Auder as well as collaborating with the likes of Smerz, Dev Hynes, Loraine James, King Krule.[3]
Untitled has been nominated for Best Boutique Label at the Independent Music Awards in 2025[4] and won the award in 2026[5]. Its founder Alex Putman was nominated for Breakthrough Artist Manager at the 2024 Artist & Manager Awards.[6]
Foundation and development
Untitled was founded in London in 2017 while Putman was working at Polydor Records.[7]
The label's early development was closely associated with the The Windmill in Brixton and the wider South London independent music scene.[8]
Alongside its record-label activities, the company developed an artist-management operation[9] [10] and expanded its work into projects involving other creative disciplines. The company describes itself as a London-based music company that predominantly acts as a record label and management company while helping likeminded partners with their music needs across fashion, art, film and events. [11]
Music
Untitled's catalogue encompasses alternative rock, post-punk, experimental pop, electronic music and other forms of contemporary music. The label has been noted for maintaining an eclectic roster rather than operating within a single genre.[12]
Fashion, Art, Film and Collaborations
Untitled has undertaken projects outside conventional record releases, including collaborations across music, fashion, art, film and live events.[13]
Jerskin Fendrix composed the score for Yorgos Lanthimos's Poor Things, receiving nominations for the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score, as well as a BAFTA nomination[14][15][16]. He won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Film Score and two World Soundtrack Awards for the film.[17]
Jerskin later composed the score for Lanthimos's Kinds of Kindness, and Bugonia, for which he received an Academy Award [18] and a BAFTA nomination [19] for Best Original Score in 2026.
In May 2025, Putman and Untitled curated FIGURA's Seeing in Dreams, a two-day programme presented at London's HERE at Outernet and The Lower Third on 9–10 May. The programme brought together performances and showcases involving artists and organisations including PAN, Amnesia Scanner, Ecco2k, TAAHLIAH, Tommy Wright III, Andy Stott, Clara La San, Still House Plants and The Sun Ra Arkestra.[20]
Through Untitled, Putman has worked as a Music Consultant with Hedi Slimane during his tenure as creative director of CELINE, with the collaboration continuing for approximately four years.[21] [22]
Untitled has worked with Alvaro Barrington for his show “Back Home / I Am… I Said” on view at Sadie Coles in April 2025. The installation featured a mix by Tiffany Calver.[23]
