Unarine Rambani, known professionally as Una Rams, is a South African singer-songwriter and record producer from Makwarela, Limpopo, South Africa. His music blends R&B, soul, Afro-fusion, and elements of Venda cultural expression.[1][2] Rams was selected for Apple Music's Up Next South Africa in 2021,[1] contributed to "Flava" on Black Coffee's Grammy-winning album Subconsciously,[3][4] collaborated with IDRIS on "Go Deeper",[5] and won Best R&B Song at the 2026 Metro FM Music Awards for "Priceless Possession".[6]

Early life and education

Rambani is from Makwarela, Limpopo, South Africa.[1] He grew up in a Christian home and used to sing in a church choir.[7] He studied Computer Science at the University of Pretoria while developing a public music career.[8][2]

Early releases

Rams released early projects including Pink Moon and Wavy Baby, building a public profile around melodic R&B, soul, and South African alternative music.[8][2]

Apple Music Up Next and Subconsciously

In 2021, Rams was selected as Apple Music Up Next South Africa.[1] He also appeared on "Flava", a track from Black Coffee's album Subconsciously.[3] Subconsciously later won Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 2022 Grammy Awards.[4][9]

International collaborations

In 2024, Rams collaborated with IDRIS / Idris Elba on "Go Deeper", released through Defected.[5]

Rams released his debut album meet me at the altar in 2025.[10] The song "Priceless Possession" won Best R&B Song at the 2026 Metro FM Music Awards.[6]
