From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Televic Conference is a business division of the Belgian technology company Televic, headquartered in Izegem, Belgium. Its products include wired and wireless discussion systems, conference networking equipment, interpretation systems, meeting-management software and electronic nameplates.[1][2]

History

[edit]

Televic was founded in Belgium in 1946 as a manufacturer of professional radio systems. The company subsequently developed activities in several technology markets, including rail transportation, healthcare, education and conference systems.[3][1]

In 2020, Belgian investment company Gimv acquired a significant minority participation in Televic. Existing shareholders retained a majority stake. Gimv described Televic as operating in healthcare, education, railways and the conference market.[1]

Televic expanded its conference activities through acquisitions in the 2020s. In September 2022, Televic Conference acquired United States-based conference technology company Media Vision. Inavate reported that the acquisition was intended to expand Televic's operations in North America and Europe.[4] The acquisition was also reported by the specialist audiovisual publication Digital AV Magazine.[5]

In January 2023, Televic Conference acquired the Unite product range from German audio manufacturer Beyerdynamic. Unite is a DECT-based wireless communication system used for applications including presentations, interpretation, language distribution and guided tours.[6][3]
