Storage Corner Group, LLC is an American real estate investment firm based in Los Altos, California, that acquires, renovates and operates self storage facilities and small-bay light-industrial properties in California, Utah and Idaho.[1][2] Its self-storage facilities operate under the Storage Corner brand, and its industrial holdings are managed by an affiliate, SCG Industrial Parks.[1][3] It partners with high-net-worth individuals, family offices and institutional investors.[1]
History
[edit]The firm's first property, a self-storage, industrial and retail facility in St. George, Utah, was acquired in January 2015.[4] The company lists Benjamin Wagstaff and Casey Q. Burwasser as co-founders.[5] Subsequent acquisitions included a property in Orem, Utah (2018), a second St. George site (2019), two facilities in Idaho Falls, Idaho (2022), and properties in Ivins, Utah and Pacifica, California (2023) and Pleasant Grove, Utah (2024).[4]
In 2025, the firm expanded along the San Mateo County coast. It bought a self-storage property in the Princeton-by-the-Sea area of Half Moon Bay, which it described as its 23rd acquisition,[6] and then Crespi Mini Storage in Pacifica, a facility of about 25,000 square feet (2,300 m2) with more than 270 units, which it rebranded Storage Corner Linda Mar.[7] The same year, SCG Industrial Parks bought a two-building, 20,754 square feet (1,928.1 m2) light-industrial property on Warrington Avenue in Redwood City, California.[3]
In March 2026, the firm acquired Towne Storage Vineyard in Orem, Utah, in an off-market transaction structured as a 1031 exchange. The 4.4 acres (1.8 ha) property, developed in 2019, has 11 single-story buildings totaling 84,745 square feet (7,873.1 m2) in 554 units.[2]
Operations
[edit]According to the company, it follows a value-add strategy of acquiring under-performing properties in supply-constrained infill markets and repositioning them through renovation, expansion or conversion.[1] It manages its properties in-house through a vertically integrated platform.[1] The company describes itself as one of the 100 largest self-storage owners in the United States.[1]
As of 2026, Storage Corner operated 21 facilities across California, Idaho and Utah.[2] Locations include Half Moon Bay, Hayward, Marina, Pacifica, Sunnyvale and Whittier in California; Idaho Falls, Pocatello and Twin Falls in Idaho; and Ivins, Orem, Pleasant Grove, Salt Lake City and St. George in Utah.[8]
SCG Industrial Parks
[edit]SCG Industrial Parks, LLC is a Bay Area–based affiliate that invests in and operates small-bay light-industrial and mixed-use properties in markets where Storage Corner Group already manages property.[9] The affiliate states that its predecessors have invested in real estate since 1983 and in industrial parks since 2015, and that the combined organization employs more than 50 people and manages over 1.1 million square feet (100,000 m2).[9]
