Stephen B. Chambers, AIA (also known as Steve Chambers) is a licensed Architect and Interior Designer based in Dallas, Texas. He is the principal architect and founder of Chambers Architects, a residential architecture firm known for homes with regional influences, historic rehabilitation, sustainable design, and landscape-integrated design in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. His practice currently concentrates on ranch design and planning, and lake homes.[1]

Career

Chambers was licensed as an architect in 1975[2] and founded Chambers Architects in 1981, a Dallas-based residential architecture practice. His work spans new custom home design and historic renovation, with a design approach the firm describes as collaborative and client-focused.

Since 2019, Chambers has been named to D Magazine's "The 60 Best Architects in Dallas" list.[3]

In September 2010, Chambers was one of 16 U.S. architects awarded a scholarship by VeronaFiere (organizers of Marmomac, the Verona stone trade fair) to study "Design and Sustainability in Stone,” where he attended classes in sustainable design, and blogged and reported daily from Verona, Italy.[4]

Chambers has designed homes associated with notable clients and sites in the Dallas area; his work and commentary have been featured in regional real-estate and design press, including coverage connecting him to the history of a Dallas home associated with Candy Montgomery.[5][6][7]
