Comment: Some links seem to be broken: this may be because the LLM-generated material hasn't been thoroughly checked. ArthurTheGardener (talk) 21:15, 14 September 2026 (UTC)
Comment: The first reference I spotchecked was a broken link. I don't think you've completely removed the LLM text, given this. Promotional tone has been reduced--good work on that--but there is still no real case for notability being made. You may find WP:CORPTRIV useful as a rundown of things that don't count for notability as they are considered routine business. M kuhner (talk) 21:04, 7 August 2026 (UTC)

Shapermint is an American direct-to-consumer apparel company specializing in shapewear and intimate apparel. The company was founded in 2018, is operated by the e-commerce group Trafilea, and functions primarily through its online platform.[1]
History
[edit]The company was founded in 2018, selling exclusively online. During its first three years of operation, Shapermint sold approximately $250 million worth of products, capturing a 20% share of the United States women's shapewear market.[2][3]
The brand reported $150 million in revenue in 2020, which grew to $180 million in 2021.[1] In early 2022, its parent company, Trafilea, entered into discussions with private equity and venture capital firms to raise an institutional funding round of up to $100 million, with corporate valuation projections estimated between $900 million and $1.8 billion.[1]
Over time Shapermint expanded its distribution channels. In 2022, the brand began selling its products in physical retail stores through partnerships with traditional retailers such as Nordstrom and Belk.[4] In December of that same year, Trafilea acquired The BodCon, an annual virtual conference and podcast, establishing a media and events division to complement its apparel brands.[5]
By 2024 the company had surpassed 10 million customers, projecting annual revenues exceeding $300 million.[6]
Business model
[edit]Shapermint operates primarily as a direct-to-consumer retailer. Its early marketing model relied heavily on paid social advertising and user-generated content, with the majority of its budget allocated to platforms like Facebook and Instagram.[7] Since 2024, the company has integrated an internal artificial intelligence advertising system called Altair to streamline ad testing and support content production.[6]
Within the apparel industry, retail analysts have noted Shapermint operational model for treating extended sizing as a core component of its business strategy rather than a secondary category.[8] By building size accessibility into the initial product architecture and utilizing community-based fit validation, the brand reduced e-commerce purchasing friction and operational costs.[8]
Products
[edit]Shapermint product line includes bras, leggings, underwear, and shapewear garments. The company's core collections are manufactured with a focus on extended sizing, typically offering a range from small up to 4XL.[8]
