Satworks is the trading name of Satellite and Terrestrial Works Ltd, which is a British satellite and telecommunications installation company based in Darwen, Lancashire. The company installs satellite broadband equipment and related networking systems for residential and commercial customers.[1]
History
[edit]Satworks was started by Wesley Hutchinson as a one-person installation business in the Bolton area in 2013.[1] The business was incorporated as Satellite and Terrestrial Works Ltd on 1 August 2014.[2]
The company later moved its registered office to Lower Darwen, Lancashire.[3]
Satworks initially carried out conventional satellite television and satellite broadband installations before expanding into very-small-aperture terminal systems, mobile broadband antennas and low Earth orbit satellite services.[4]
Operations
[edit]The company carries out installation and maintenance work involving satellite broadband, VSAT equipment, networking, television systems and external 4G and 5G antennas.[5]
Its work includes surveying residential and business premises, mounting antennas, installing network cables and connecting satellite equipment to internal networks.[4]
Satworks has developed a network of engineers operating across the United Kingdom and Ireland. The company has also undertaken installation work in other European markets.[1]
Starlink work
[edit]In February 2026, the Lancashire Telegraph reported that Satworks had secured a direct installation partnership with SpaceX relating to its Starlink satellite internet service.[6]
The company provides professional Starlink installations where customers require assistance with professional installations.[7]
Professional installation is separate from Starlink's self-installation option, which allows customers to install equipment themselves where the property and proposed mounting position are suitable.
