Slnko Energy Private Limited (Slnko Energy) is an Indian renewable-energy services provider offering engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM), project management consultancy (PMC), and operation and maintenance (O&M) services for solar power projects.[1] Founded in 2018 and based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, the company works on projects under the PM-KUSUM solar scheme for farmers, as well as utility-scale and commercial and industrial solar projects.
History
[edit]Slnko was incorporated as Slnko Energy Private Limited on 27 November 2018, with the Registrar of Companies in Jharkhand.[2] Bibhuti Ranjan Dubey and Omprakash Dubey co-founded the company.[3] Its early projects, in 2018–2019, were in engineering services, including a 2019 international engineering and procurement project in France for a green hydrogen initiative.[4] According to an independent trade profile, commercial operations began in March 2020, initially focused on engineering work before expanding into procurement and supply-chain management for solar developers and EPC contractors.[5] Slnko introduced project management consultancy (PMC) services in the Indian renewable-energy market in 2020, and secured its first government PMC assignment, with Bharat Petroleum (BPCL), in 2021.[4] In 2023, it launched a dedicated Solar EPCM business line, moving from an advisory role to end-to-end project execution.[4]
By 2025–2026, the company had grown from a single office in 2018 to seven offices, with turnover reported at approximately ₹274 crore in the 2024 financial year and more than ₹850 crore in the 2026 financial year, alongside 396 completed projects.[4] These figures have not been independently verified. A business-data provider estimated Slnko's revenue for the year ending 31 March 2025 at between ₹100 crore and ₹500 crore, and recorded a headcount of 173 employees as of August 2025, compared with the company's own claim of "350+" employees.[6]
Operations and services
[edit]Slnko operates across five service lines: design and engineering for international projects;[7] engineering and procurement for international projects;[8] a flagship "Global EPC-M" service line for projects in India and abroad;[9] public-sector project management consultancy for government infrastructure projects;[10] and asset operation and maintenance for commissioned assets.[11] The company also offers battery energy storage, floating solar, agrivoltaic, and green hydrogen infrastructure capabilities.[4] It has developed an internal project-monitoring platform called "Protrac", which the company says gives clients real-time visibility into project status; the tool is also referenced in an independent trade profile.[12] Slnko's public portfolio page displays commissioned, ongoing, and total project counts by state, which it says are sourced from Protrac.[13]
PM-KUSUM programme
[edit]The PM-KUSUM scheme (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan), a central government initiative encouraging farmers to install solar pumps and small solar power plants with financial support, is a significant part of Slnko's business.[14] The company provides services across three components of the scheme: grid-connected solar power plants, solarization of existing grid-connected agricultural pumps, and solarization of independent agricultural feeders.[14] It markets a "90-day plant commissioning" model, under which it reviews land, documentation, and financing for a project within 10 days before proceeding to installation and commissioning.[14] The company reports having installed more than 1.6 gigawatts of PM-KUSUM capacity across 11 or more Indian states.[14]
Portfolio
[edit]Slnko's reported portfolio exceeds 10 gigawatts, delivered and managed across more than 19 Indian states. Its largest delivered capacity is in Rajasthan (approximately 3,669 MW), followed by Madhya Pradesh (approximately 2,488 MW), Gujarat (1,025 MW), and Uttar Pradesh (approximately 714 MW), with smaller volumes across 15 other states.[13] This total figure is inconsistent across the company's own channels: its website states "10+ GW", its YouTube channel description states "over 13,500 MW", and its Instagram profile states "9.2GW+".[15][16][17]
Corporate structure
[edit]Slnko describes itself as the lead company in a group of affiliated businesses: Slnko Energy; Slnko Infra, which handles site readiness, civil and electrical works, and grid connectivity; Slnko Capital, focused on investment and technical evaluation of energy ventures; Slnko Sugandh, described by the company as unrelated to its core energy business and focused on wellness and everyday sensory experiences; and Solar Bazaar, a marketplace for sourcing solar components and vendors.[18] A separate entity, Slnko Foundation, shares common directorship with Slnko Energy Private Limited but does not appear on the company's own "Group Companies" page.[19]
The directors of Slnko Energy Private Limited are Omprakash Dubey, Bibhuti Ranjan Dubey, and Pradeep Kumar Sain, according to the latest public filings.[2] Bibhuti Ranjan Dubey also serves as a director of Slnko Foundation, Slnko Sugandh Private Limited, and Slnko Infra Private Limited.[19] The company's registered office is recorded with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in Palamu district, Jharkhand, while its operational headquarters, per its own website, is in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.[2][15]
Partnerships
[edit]Droot, a digital engineering and marketing firm, is described on Slnko's website as its "Tech & Marketing Partner"; the India Today Group is listed as a media partner.[15]
