rust-pt

[edit]

rust-pt is a Tor Pluggable Transports' framework, developed by an active Arti contributor pryty26..[1][2] And the aim of this framework is to become an Official Tor PT framework[3].

The project's official website states that rust-pt is currently the only actively maintained and hand-written Rust PT framework.

The Tor Project's Anti-Censorship Team has discussed reviewing rust-pt. [4]

Whether rust-pt is the only actively maintained and hand-written Rust PT framework

[edit]

According to the commit history of ptrs, ptrs has not been maintained since 2024.

According to the commit history of ptrs-gesher, the repository's commit history includes multiple commits co-authored by Claude.

Based on a review of known Rust-based pluggable transport frameworks, most are not actively maintained or fully hand-written.

Nonetheless, there could be also other pluggable transports' frameworks.
