Comment: Severe WP:CITEKILL with a lot of poor/inappropriate references; no sign of notability (per WP:NPOL or WP:GNG), basically just a promo piece. bonadea contributions talk 10:46, 5 August 2026 (UTC)

Russell Stuart is a Canadian-born American security professional, businessman and politician. He founded the executive-protection company Force Protection Agency and the firearms retailer Beverly Hills Guns. Since December 2024, he has served on the Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education.
Background and security career
[edit]Stuart was born in Vancouver and later became a United States citizen.[1] As a junior tennis player, he won Canadian national titles and represented Canada at the 1991 World Youth Cup and the 1991 Pan American Games.[2][3] He later served as an officer in the California State Guard, attaining the rank of captain.[4]
Stuart founded Force Protection Agency in 2017. A 2020 Daily Beast profile reported on the company's protection of entertainers including Post Malone, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Linkin Park and Kelly Clarkson.[4] From 2018 to 2020, Stuart led global security teams for Post Malone during international touring.[5] He has also worked in security for Avenged Sevenfold.[6]
In 2020, Stuart founded Beverly Hills Guns, an appointment-only firearms retailer described by Los Angeles magazine as Beverly Hills' only gun store.[7] ABC7 reported increased demand at the business following robberies, home invasions and the murder of Jacqueline Avant in late 2021.[8]
Political career
[edit]Stuart was elected to the Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education in November 2024 and was sworn into office on December 17.[9][10]
In March 2025, parents announced an effort to recall Stuart and fellow board member Sigalie Sabag, alleging concerns about district governance and transparency. The effort was placed on hold after its initial notice was served before the waiting period required by California law.[11]
In May 2025, Stuart spearheaded a five-year district agreement with BSN Sports to supply Nike apparel, footwear and athletic equipment to BHUSD schools. The agreement passed 3–0, with two board members abstaining after questioning the review process and potential costs.[12]
2024 traffic collision
[edit]On November 14, 2024, Stuart was one of four pedestrians struck by a stolen vehicle near Beverly Hills' Rodeo Nights, Holiday Lights celebration. Police said the driver had carjacked the vehicle before losing control and fleeing on foot.[13] Stuart sustained critical injuries, including fractures to both arms and multiple ribs, and was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.[14][15] He attended his installation ceremony the following month while still recovering.[10]
In August 2025, Stuart filed a negligence lawsuit against the city of Beverly Hills, alleging that protective barriers should have been placed near the pedestrian area. The city disputed the allegation.[16]
Personal life
[edit]Stuart lives in Beverly Hills with his wife, attorney Lisa Stuart, and their daughter.[1]
