Riscala Agnese (AKA Riscala Agnese Design Group and Formerly Riscala Design)

specializes in Restaurant Design. Principals Fadi Riscala and Michelle

Agnese take an interdisciplinary approach to their projects, with

creative cross referencing among interior design, architecture, engineering coordination,

product design and graphic design.

In the late 80's, after graduating from Michael Graves School of design, Fadi gained practical experience with Q5,

one of the top hospitality design giants at that time. On the heels of his formative years, Fadi founded

Riscala Design in 1996 with his first independent restaurant project.

Upon graduating from design school in 1999, Michelle

Agnese joined Fadi’s practice, and brought a practical logic and fresh new

approach toward design, meshing with the philosophies of Riscala  and became a partner in 2007

After participating as a speaker at the “Thinking Creatively” Design

Conference in Spring 2009, Fadi was offered a teaching position at

Michael Graves School of Design, where he has spearheaded

“Collaborative Design Studio”, a class that focuses on the collaborative

nature of restaurant design, between interior, graphic and industrial designers.

Riscala Agnese has been recognized in the restaurant design

industry, and team continue to work

with chefs in the tri-state area. They are in constant

touch with the restaurant community, and remain aware of current challenges

and innovations in the industry. Riscala Agnese has been inducted into the

NJRA Hall of Fame, and their work continues to be published in several

prominent publications such as Architectural Digest, Hospitality Design Magazine, Architects

Newspaper, and New York Spaces. They were featured in “Meet the

Minds Behind Restaurant Design”, an industry series by HD Magazine.

The firm is known for the following highlighted projects, NAYA(fast Casual Chain), , Johnny Utah’s,

Mamo (New York and Miami), AuZaatar (Midtown Manhattan), and other regional restaurant and hospitality interiors.
