However, the mere fact that a company, organization, or product is a page's subject does not, on its own, qualify that page for deletion under this criterion. This criterion also does not apply where substantial encyclopedic content would remain after removing the promotional material as deletion is not cleanup; in this case please remove the promotional material yourself, or add the {{advert}} tag to alert others to do so. RAK People Hub is a government human-capital, learning and knowledge platform operated by the Department of Human Resources of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates.[1] According to its official description, its stated vision is "National capabilities that learn, share and innovate to lead the future of Ras Al Khaimah". Its stated mission focuses on developing human capital through a system combining learning, knowledge, professional expertise and institutional partnerships.[1]
The platform was publicly announced in May 2026 as part of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah's human-capital development activities.[2] Its functions include professional directories for trainers, mentors and training providers, government learning activities, events, professional-development programmes, research and human-resources content, certificate verification and knowledge-sharing activities.[3]
In September 2026, the Department of Human Resources launched the RAK People Hub Training Centre, extending the initiative's learning and professional-development activities. The centre was presented as a mechanism for connecting individuals and organisations with training, specialised expertise and development opportunities, involving government entities, private-sector organisations and academic institutions.[4]
Background and establishment
[edit]RAK People Hub was developed by the Department of Human Resources of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah as a framework for bringing together professional learning, talent development, expertise and knowledge exchange. Its launch was announced on 1 May 2026. Contemporary reporting described the initiative as an institutional framework combining capability development, partnerships and knowledge exchange across different sectors.[2]
The initiative was developed around a digital platform intended to provide structured access to trainers, mentors and other professional resources. At launch, its functions included the registration and review of trainers and mentors, the development of a professional directory, specialist content and professional-community activities.[2]
The Department of Human Resources subsequently described the initiative as a shift towards a more integrated model for human-capital development across the emirate, connecting professional expertise and development activities that had previously operated through separate channels.[5]
The digital platform and the wider initiative were developed as related components. The public-facing system provides access to professional directories, events, training information and knowledge content, while government and professional users have access to additional functions associated with learning and professional engagement.[3]
Governance and institutional framework
[edit]RAK People Hub is administered by the Department of Human Resources of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah.[3] The department is responsible for reviewing applications to the platform, administering government learning activities and overseeing the professional-development functions made available through the system.[3]
As part of the initiative's governance framework, the Department of Human Resources signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Knowledge. According to the Department of Human Resources, the agreement was intended to establish a framework for the verification and accreditation of trainers and mentors and to coordinate standards associated with professional learning and development.[5]
The platform also provides a mechanism through which government entities can interact with verified professionals and training providers. Government training opportunities may be made available to eligible providers through the system, while provider applications are reviewed before organisations are included in the platform's professional directory.[3]
Digital platform and services
[edit]The RAK People Hub website functions as the digital interface of the initiative. It is available in Arabic and English and combines public information with directories and transactional services related to professional development.[3]
Among the services publicly available through the platform are directories of trainers, mentors and training providers, a government training calendar, public events, research and human-resources learning material, podcast content and certificate-verification services.[3]
Trainers and mentors
[edit]RAK People Hub operates a professional directory for trainers and mentors. Applicants provide information relating to their professional background, areas of specialisation and supporting credentials. Applications and supporting documentation are reviewed by the Department of Human Resources before approved profiles are listed publicly.[3]
The directory can be searched by professional specialisation, language and other criteria, allowing users and organisations to identify professionals in areas including leadership, human resources, data analytics, management, information technology and other professional disciplines.[6]
The verification function was one of the original components identified when RAK People Hub was launched in 2026.[2] The subsequent agreement between the Department of Human Resources and the Department of Knowledge was intended to provide a broader framework for professional verification and accreditation.[5]
Training providers
[edit]Training companies can apply for inclusion as authorised providers through RAK People Hub. The application process includes organisational and licensing information, areas of expertise, delivery languages and supporting corporate documentation. Applications are reviewed by the Department of Human Resources before approved providers are listed.[3]
The public provider directory allows users to search participating organisations according to areas of expertise and other criteria.[7]
The provider network forms part of a wider system for connecting government learning requirements with external expertise. Government entities can publish training requirements through the platform, with verified or invited providers able to submit proposals for consideration.[3]
Training calendar and events
[edit]RAK People Hub publishes a government training calendar containing professional-development programmes organised by the Department of Human Resources. Where registration is available, participants can register for programmes through the platform.[3]
The platform also hosts public professional events. Event functions are used alongside its broader learning and knowledge-exchange activities, providing a mechanism for registration and participation in seminars, discussions and other professional gatherings.[3]
Certificate verification
[edit]Certificates issued through RAK People Hub can be checked through an online verification service. Certificates carry a unique verification link or QR code, through which users can confirm information including the certificate holder, programme, issue date and current validity status.[8]
Learning and capability development
[edit]Learning and capability development form a central part of RAK People Hub's activities. The platform is used to provide training programmes, workshops and professional-development activities relating to technical, behavioural, leadership and future-oriented skills.[1]
Areas addressed through its learning and knowledge activities include human-resources transformation, talent management, learning and development, performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, employee experience, organisational development, people analytics, human-resources technology and the future of work.[1]
The platform also addresses subjects associated with changes in the workplace, including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, workforce skills, leadership, organisational performance and human-capital strategy.[1]
RAK People Hub Training Centre
[edit]In September 2026, the Department of Human Resources launched the RAK People Hub Training Centre as a physical learning and professional-development component of the initiative.[4][9]
The centre was established to provide training programmes and connect individuals and organisations with specialist expertise and development opportunities. Reporting on its launch described an operating model involving cooperation between government entities, private-sector organisations, academic institutions and specialists involved in workforce development.[4]
The launch event was hosted by the Ras Al Khaimah campus of the Higher Colleges of Technology and included representatives from government, business and academia.[9] Two principal panel discussions accompanied the launch. One considered the use of artificial intelligence in human resources and its implications for work, skills and decision-making. The other addressed the integration of Emirati graduates into the labour market, including the transition from education to employment and the capabilities required by national graduates.[4][9]
The discussions reflected two areas that had become part of the platform's wider capability-development agenda: technological change in human-resource management and the employment readiness of Emirati talent.[4]
Knowledge exchange and professional communities
[edit]In addition to formal learning activities, RAK People Hub includes knowledge-sharing and professional-community functions. Its official platform identifies professional communities, events, research, specialist insights and discussions as mechanisms for exchanging professional experience across government, business and academia.[1]
The platform publishes human-capital and human-resources content covering workforce trends, leadership, organisational performance, artificial intelligence, people analytics and related subjects.[1] It also provides space for research papers and professional articles.[3]
These knowledge functions are intended to complement formal training by creating channels through which professionals and subject-matter specialists can exchange experience and applied knowledge.[1]
RAK People Hub Podcast
[edit]The RAK People Hub Podcast was introduced as one of the initiative's knowledge-sharing channels. The Department of Human Resources announced the podcast alongside the platform's launch, describing it as a forum for discussions involving leaders, specialists and decision-makers on workforce and organisational issues.[5]
Episodes began appearing on the RAK People Hub platform in March 2026.[10] Topics covered by the series include human-resources transformation, people analytics, leadership, employee retention, professional learning, entrepreneurship and the future of work.[10]
The podcast is distributed through the RAK People Hub website as well as third-party podcast and video platforms.[3]
Talent and graduate development
[edit]Development of Emirati talent and graduates forms part of the platform's stated scope. Its official description identifies employment readiness, practical capability development and exposure to workplace expectations among the areas addressed through its programmes and partnerships.[1]
Graduate employability was also a theme at the launch of the RAK People Hub Training Centre. A panel on integrating Emirati graduates into the labour market examined the skills required for the transition from academic education to employment and the roles of employers, educational institutions and government entities in supporting that transition.[4]
The involvement of the Higher Colleges of Technology in the Training Centre launch was presented as part of an effort to connect academic learning and professional development with changing labour-market requirements.[9]
Cross-sector collaboration
[edit]RAK People Hub's operating model involves interaction between government entities, private-sector organisations, academic institutions, training providers and individual professionals.[1]
The Department of Knowledge agreement created an institutional relationship concerned with the professional verification and accreditation framework for trainers and mentors.[5] The Training Centre later provided another mechanism for cross-sector participation, with government, private-sector and academic representatives taking part in its launch and associated discussions.[4]
At the original launch of RAK People Hub, the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Economic Development was also identified as a participating government entity. Its director-general described the initiative as a mechanism for coordination between government organisations in human-capital development.[2]
Research and human-capital insights
[edit]RAK People Hub includes research and human-capital insight activities alongside its training functions. The platform identifies research, surveys, analysis and professional publications as tools for examining workforce trends and organisational issues.[1]
Topics identified within this area include the future of work, artificial intelligence, workforce trends, HR analytics, skills development, employee experience, leadership, talent and organisational performance.[1]
Research and knowledge content is made available through the digital platform together with other learning material.[3]
Scope and future direction
[edit]RAK People Hub was established primarily around human-capital development in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Its professional community includes participants from government entities, private-sector organisations, training providers, universities and educational institutions, researchers, academics, trainers, mentors, graduates and other professional groups.[1]
According to its official strategy, the platform's longer-term direction is to develop an integrated human-resources ecosystem serving both government and private-sector organisations and to extend relevant services and professional networks from Ras Al Khaimah to other parts of the United Arab Emirates.[1]
