Comment: To clarify, you can still use non-independent sources, but they won't contribute to establishing notability. I suggest you either merge the content in this draft to Sara Peattie (making edit requests when necessary to account for possible conflicts of interest) or add more sources that meet WP:42 to the draft to establish its notability. 🌀Hurricane Wind and Fire, why'd you decline my draft? The Puppet Free Library is a library which lends puppets and provides information on their construction and use.[1] [2] [3]
History
[edit]The Puppet Free Library came about by accident. Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Boston, Massachusetts provided work and storage space for The Puppeteers Cooperative and the Back Alley Puppet Theater, both making large simple puppets for pageants and parades.[4] Puppets accumulated, were loaned to friends and friends of friends, and thus the library drifted into existance. [5] It was formalized as a lending library on or around 1995.[6]
The library has provided puppets for large events such as the Out of Doors Festival at Lincoln Center, and the Village Halloween Parade, both in New York City, and First Night in Boston.[7] It also serves local civic and community events such as the HONK festival parade[8] and political evebts[9] student projects and videos,[10] and passers-by, who often take then out for a walk in the nearby Public Garden.[11]
It also provides examples and information to encourage people to make their own large puppets and events.[12][13] "The Puppet Free Library stands as a significant contributor to the local cultural landscape. By providing access to unique artistic resources and educational programs, it enriches the lives of Boston residents. Engaging with the library opens up opportunities for creativity and collaboration. Visit The Puppet Free Library in Boston for an enriching experience in the world of puppetry".[14]
