Prashant Kumar Mishra (also known as P. K. Mishra) is an Indian senior railway administrator, mechanical engineer, and historian of South Asian industrial heritage. An officer of the 1986 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), he serves as the General Manager of the Modern Coach Factory (MCF) in Raebareli, while holding additional charge at the Rail Coach Factory (RCF) in Kapurthala [1][2].
Career and Appointments
[edit]Mishra joined IRSME in 1986 and served as Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) for Asansol, Malda, and Alipurduar, earning consecutive Best Division recognitions in Asansol [1][2]. He later served as Additional General Manager of South Western Railway [2] before becoming General Manager of MCF Raebareli in March 2023 [2] and taking additional charge at RCF Kapurthala in September 2025 [3].
