Motiocreate AI is a Canadian software project focused on the use of artificial intelligence for the creation of short-form video content. The application was developed by Samuel Dufour, a developer from Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec, beginning in 2024 while he was studying at Polyvalente Saint-Aubin.^[1]

The project focuses on automating parts of the video production process, including the transformation of written scripts into videos containing generated narration and subtitles. The application is designed for creators producing short-form content for online platforms.

History

Motiocreate AI was founded in 2024 by Samuel Dufour while he was a secondary school student in Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec.^[1] According to Le Charlevoisien, the idea behind the project came from difficulties encountered during the production of videos for YouTube. The time required for editing and preparing content limited the frequency at which videos could be published, leading Dufour to explore ways of automating parts of the process.^[1]

Before developing Motiocreate AI, Dufour worked on several technology-related projects. These included website-related projects and experiments involving digital audio and artificial intelligence technologies.^[1]

Dufour learned programming independently through online resources and computer science material available publicly, including courses offered by Harvard University.^[1] The development of Motiocreate AI was carried out alongside his secondary education.

Development

The project evolved from an initial concept focused on reducing the time required to create online videos into a broader application using artificial intelligence technologies for content generation.

The development of the application involved combining several technologies commonly used in automated media production, including artificial intelligence models for text processing, synthetic voice generation, subtitle creation and video composition.
