While known for his participation a a semi-finalist in Dance with Peter (2015), Miracle is most notable for competing in the first season of the Netflix reality competition series Physical: 100 (2023) and for his work as a professional dancer in the South Korean entertainment industry.
Early Life
[edit]Miracle Nelson Chinonso was born in Nigeria on June 18, 1994. He developed an interest in dance while growing up, beginning dance in 2010 when he and his family participated in the Nigerian television dance competition Maltina Dance All. Miracle would then continue to pursue dance alongside his high school education, training for two years at the Mobile Dance Academy in Jos, Nigeria where he graduated with a diploma in dance.[1]
Career
[edit]Early Career in Nigeria
[edit]In 2013, Miracle became involved in the K-pop dance scene in Nigeria, forming five-member dance group Pacific Starz to compete in competitions organized by the Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria (KCCN). As the group's leader, he led the team to placements in KCCN's national K-pop competitions.[1] They would go on to emerge as runners-up for the center's K-pop Dance Competition, which subsequently pushed them to the preliminaries for the K-Pop World Festival in Changwon, South Korea. The group would ultimately complete the competition as winners, taking the grand prize title and prize money of $12 thousand after performing BTS' "Danger".[2]
Later, Miracle would work as a K-pop dance instructor at KCCN in 2017, where he taught dance, performance, and choreography.[1]
Career in South Korea
[edit]Miracle moved to South Korea in February of 2019 to further his dance career and pursue a degree in modern dance. After arriving in the country, he studied the Korean language and continued participating in dance competitions, placing third in the Ki Sports Dance Olympiad.[3]
Miracle subsequently worked as a professional dancer in the South Korean entertainment industry. In 2020, he appeared as a backup dancer in music videos for Dalsoobin's "Dive", OnlyOneOf's "Who's That?", and (G)I-DLE‘s “Nxde.” [4]
After restrictions disrupted his dance activities during the COVID-19 pandemic, Miracle began focusing increasingly on fitness and bodybuilding, commemorating his progress with a series of profile photos as is popular in South Korea. Many do so to showcase the results of longterm hardwork in the gym. Miracle took to it naturally. His physique was remarkably defined, the result of carefully developing nearly every muscle group to impressive proportions.[4]
His potential did not go unnoticed. A coach at his gym approached him with the idea to consider taking his straining a step further: competing professionally. At his very first show, Miracle would skip both the novice and beginner category, competing instead in the open category and placing third. It was then that Miracle began to consider bodybuilding as a secondary career.[3]

After advancing through the initial rounds, he competed against Park Jin-yong for the final torch and was subsequently eliminated.[6]
Following the series, Miracle described his participation as an accomplishment and said many of the contestants remained in contact after filming.[6]
Physical: 100 became the first unscripted program to reach number one on Netflix's global, Non-English TV chart.[7]
