Mais Taha (born in 1983) is a Jordanian architect-engineer and entrepreneur known for her work in eco-design, digital transformation and nature conservation in the EMEA region.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Taha was born in Saudi Arabia in 1983 to parents from the education sector. [2]
Taha completed her primary and secondary education in Jordan, earned her masters degree from Switzerland and started her business in Malta.[3]
Academic Background
[edit]Taha began her higher education studying Civil Engineering at Mutah University, She got honors grade in second and third semesters.
She later transferred to the Engineering Faculty, Architectural Engineering Department at University of Jordan.[4] earning her bachelor’s degree in 2006. Her graduation project focused on kinetic architecture and responsive environmental spaces.
In 2014, Taha earned a Masters degree from ZHAW (Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland. Her applied research focused on Cost-effectiveness of Wellbeing in Energy Efficient Office Building and Strategic Facilities Management.[5] ZHAW nominated her master thesis for the First Students Scientific Research Poster Competition in EuroFM 2014 Berlin Conference,Germany.
Career
[edit]Taha first job was CAD Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Jordan, this role was a student job.
In 2006, right after graduation, she was offered two jobs: one with the Great Arab Minds Architect Sahel Al-Hiyari,[6] and the other with the Consolidated Consultants (CC) Group's Jafar Tukan team, where she worked for seven years before moving to Switzerland for her master studies.
During her time at Consolidated Consultants, she mainly served as a technical architect and deputy project manager for international projects.
In 2017, Taha moved to Malta as Investors Technical Advisor, later she was employed in few digital transformation jobs. Later, she started her own company during COIVID-19 Pandemic.
Awards and recognition
[edit]Taha has received multiple awards recognizing her contributions to sustainability, design, and digital innovation:
In 2022 the Association Energy Engineering recognized Taha as The Energy Innovator of Western Europe and She was awarded TYOP Award by JCI Malta for Sustainable Innovation as well as Malta Intellectual Property Award for the iPX project. Winner of the Emergent Innovator Award for Technological Initiative for the MTiPX iPX framework for Digital Twins.[7][8]
The International Telecommunications Union awarded Taha the ITU Digital Change maker Award 2024 for the project IPX XEROWASTE.[9]
In 2025, Greening the Islands foundation and EuroFM recognized the green-digital transformation platform XUKRA”. [10] EuroFM Award for Best Industry Initiative for the project XUKRA.

“XUKRA impressed the jury with its human-centred, sustainability-driven approach to workplace management. Rather than focusing solely on operational efficiency, XUKRA integrates wellbeing, inclusivity and ESG principles into everyday workplace practices. Through a positivity-driven digital platform, the organisation promotes recognition, transparency and engagement, while linking employee reward systems to environmentally responsible choices”.[11]
Taha joined several online and in person conferences including EuroFM 2025, SBS Meeting Standards, and The Global Entrepreneurship Week, GEW2025 Jordan, as one of Queen Rania Centre of Entrepreneurship partners.
