Lisa Stuart is an American attorney, author, songwriter and talk-show host. She wrote The Drama Diet: How to Shed the Weight of Judgment, Limiting Beliefs, and Toxic Relationships (2025) and hosts The Drama Diet Show.
Legal career
[edit]Stuart is a California attorney based in Beverly Hills. She has practiced plaintiff-side personal-injury law for more than 25 years.[1][2]
In 2025, Stuart was part of a plaintiffs' trial team that obtained a $4.43 million jury verdict against the Los Angeles Unified School District in a school-safety and sexual-abuse case. The award was listed among the 50 largest plaintiffs' jury verdicts in Los Angeles County that year.[3]
Writing and media career
[edit]Stuart began developing The Drama Diet after experiences in her legal practice and personal life led her to examine recurring patterns of conflict.[4] The book was released in 2025 and presents a three-part framework—disrupt, deflate and detox—for responding to conflict and emotional stress.[2]
Stuart began writing songs in 2007. Credited under her former married name, Lisa Rachel Wiesel, she co-wrote “Can't Stay Away”, performed by Danny Hunter Jones and released in 2013.[2][5]
In January 2026, Stuart began hosting The Drama Diet Show, an interview program produced by the McCord List Media Network and distributed through podcast platforms.[6][7]
Personal life
[edit]Stuart grew up in Beverly Hills and graduated from Beverly Hills High School. She is married to Russell Stuart, a member of the Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education, and has three children.[2][8]
