From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kailay (also spelled Kailey) is a Jat clan found primarily in the Punjab region of India and Pakistan, with many members adhering to Sikhism. The clan is found in districts like Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar and Bathinda. The clan is associated with many villages in Punjab, including the village of Kailey in Ludhiana district, Like many Punjabi Jat clans, the Kailay clan has a longstanding presence in rural Punjab, but its history has received relatively little scholarly attention.
