Johnson Manabat is a Filipino journalist and broadcaster. He is a news reporter for ABS-CBN News and has reported for the network's flagship newscast TV Patrol.[1]

[edit]Manabat is from Nueva Ecija and attended college at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP).[2]
Career
[edit]Manabat has worked as a reporter for ABS-CBN News, covering a range of stories. ABS-CBN News has published his reports since at least 2019.[3][4]
In 2020, Manabat reported on the effects of the ABS-CBN broadcast shutdown.[5]
Manabat also reported for ABS-CBN's news programs on national issues during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, he reported on Filipino health workers considering mass resignation because of concerns over benefits and working conditions.[6]
In 2021, Manabat was among the hosts of Sakto, a TeleRadyo program of ABS-CBN News, alongside Amy Perez and Jeff Canoy.[7]
Manabat was also featured among ABS-CBN journalists in the network's 2024 year-end special, Sa Likod ng Balita, which examined major news stories and events of the year.[8][9]
In 2025, Manabat continued to report for TV Patrol on national issues, including transportation, elections, and local government matters.[10][11]
He also reported on the 2025 impeachment proceedings at the Senate as part of ABS-CBN News' coverage.[12]
Awards
[edit]In 2025, Manabat received the Media Excellence in Radio News Anchoring award at the Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence Awards for his radio program Johnson, I-Kuwento Mo!.[13][14]
