Jenna Renee Guyer is an American professional basketball player for San Martino di Lupari of Lega Basket Femminile. Guyer is best known for her time playing for the Green Bay Phoenix of the Horizon League for five seasons between 2021 and 2026. [1]
Career

[edit]As a senior in high school, Guyer led Centennial to a third-place finish in the Minnesota Class AAAA State Championship and was named All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention in 2020. Guyer set the program record with 22 rebounds in a single game for Centennial.
College
[edit]Guyer was announced as an official part of the 2020 Signing Day class for the Phoenix alongside Maddy Schreiber, Bailey Butler and Callie Genke. Guyer directly credited her connection with the coaches she felt during her visit as the reason she signed with Green Bay.[2]
2021-22
[edit]Guyer would redshirt the 2021-22 season as a freshman.
2022-23
[edit]Guyer saw limited action as a redshirt freshmen, appearing in 26 contests, averaging just 14.1 minutes per game. In the paint, Guyer shot 52.9 percent in the lane and shot 15-of-16 from the charity stripe (93.8 percent). Jenna grabbed 63 rebounds, recorded 19 assists, 10 steals, and nine blocks in her first official season of play. Guyer scored eight points in the Horizon League Championship game, falling short to the Cleveland State Vikings 73-61.
2023-24
[edit]Guyer appeared in 32 of the teams' 34 contests just averaging 13 minutes per game. Jenna scored 6.1 points per game off the bench for Green Bay and shot 61.4 percent overall, 40 percent from three, and 72.7 percent from the free throw line (24 of 33). Guyer totaled 62 rebounds, 37 assists, 18 steals and four blocks. Guyer scored eight points in her second Horizon League Championship Game in which Green Bay secured an automatic berth to her first NCAA tournament defeating Cleveland State 64-40. Guyer scored seven points against Tennessee.
2024-25
[edit]As a redshirt-junior off the Phoenix bench, Guyer set new career highs including a 22 point outing with eight made field goals on Jan. 2, 2025 against Northern Kentucky. Guyer shot 51.4 percent overall, 38.6 percent from three, and 86.96 percent on free throws. Guyer scored a then career-best 7 points per contest and grabbed a career-high 3.14 rebounds per game, including a career-high 84 rebounds on the defensive end. Guyer registered a career-best 43 assists and tallied 16 steals. For the first and only time of her collegiate career Jenna Guyer appeared in all 35 games in the season.
Guyer scored eight points on made field goals three possessions in a row giving the Phoenix their final lead of the game and helping clinch Green Bay’s second consecutive tournament championship beating Purdue Fort Wayne 76-63.
Guyer scored five points against Alabama in the tournament.
2025-26
[edit]After seven seniors graduated in the offseason, Jenna became an everyday starter and would eventually become the first player since Julie Wojta in 2012 to win both the conference player of the year and the tournament MVP for Green Bay in the same season.[3]
After missing the first five games with an ankle injury she suffered in the team’s exhibition against UW-Platteville [4], Guyer made her return in Green Bay’s upset 47-44 victory over Kansas State. Despite scoring just four points in her return, Guyer scored double digits in 24 of her next 25 games, including a stretch of 20 in a row from Dec. 13 to March 4. Guyer registered five double doubles and seven games of 20+ points en route to another tournament championship.
Prior to the 2026 Horizon League women's basketball tournament, Jenna Guyer was announced as the conference player of the year as well as a member of the all-first and all-defensive teams. In response to the news, Guyer would directly credit God publicly following the announcement, responding on X with “All Glory to God! Apart from Him I can do nothing.”[5] Guyer averaged career highs and a team-high 14.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Jenna was additionally revealed as a member of the Horizon League all-academic team.[6]
Guyer scored a career high 25 points in her final basketball game played at the Kress Events Center against Detroit Mercy in the first round of the Horizon League tournament. Jenna scored high 21 points in the championship game to down the Youngstown State Penguins 57-49.
Guyer ended her college career in her home state of Minnesota where she was held to five points in a 75-58 defeat to the Minnesota Golden Gophers. [7]
Professional Career
[edit]Guyer signed to continue her career professionally overseas along with her Christian teammate Lily Hansford. Jenna signed to play professionally in Italy, while Lily signed to play in Finland. [8]
Education
[edit]Guyer graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a degree in human biology in December 2024 and finished her master's program in Applied Biotechnology in fall 2025.[9] She was named CSC Academic All-America Third Team as a redshirt-senior with a perfect graduate GPA of 4.0. Guyer planned on a career in the medical field post graduation before announcing her commitment to play professionally overseas.[10]
