Draft:Jefferson Graham

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jefferson Graham is an American journalist, photographer and television host. He was a technology columnist and video host at USA Today and is the creator and host of Photowalks, a travel photography series that began online and later aired on Scripps News.[1][2]

Career

[edit]

Graham spent more than three decades at USA Today reporting on consumer technology. In 2006, he and fellow journalist Ed Baig began producing a remote video program about technology; Graham later hosted Talking Your Tech, a series of interviews with entertainers about their use of technology.[1] He left the newspaper in 2021 to concentrate on independent projects, including Photowalks.[3]

Photowalks

[edit]

Graham developed Photowalks as a series combining travel guides with smartphone photography instruction. An early travel video he made in Japan in 2018 led him to add practical photo advice to the format. Episodes subsequently featured locations in Southern California and farther afield.[3] In 2021, six half-hour episodes were made available on Tubi.[3] After a camera was stolen during a San Francisco shoot, Graham began filming the series primarily with a smartphone.[2]

In October 2024, Scripps News launched a weekly television version, Photowalks on Scripps News.[4] Its episodes combine visits to destinations with advice on photographing them using a phone.[5] Graham adapted his shorter online videos to the half-hour broadcast format, adding more location footage and a photography segment to each program.[6] The series is also available on Curiosity Stream.[7]
