Igbogbo
[edit]Igbogbo is a town and community in the Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Nigeria. It is part of the administrative area known as Igbogbo-Bayeku Local Council Development Area, one of the sub-local government units created by the Lagos State Government. The community lies northeast of central Lagos and is considered one of the significant settlements within the broader Ikorodu metropolitan region.[1]

[edit]Igbogbo is situated within the Ikorodu Division of Lagos State and forms part of the Igbogbo-Bayeku LCDA, which was created in 2003 when the Lagos State Government reorganised local governance to bring administration closer to the people. The LCDA includes both Igbogbo and its neighbouring community Bayeku.[2]
History and Culture
