Fredj Moussa is an artist[1] and filmmaker. He lives and works in Tunisia, making films, sculptures, and paintings[2][3].
Biography
[edit]He graduated from the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs.[4] in Paris in 2018, and resided at the Cité internationale des arts[5] in Paris in 2019. He studied at Le Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains[6] from 2021 to 2023.[7]
In 2024, he is a resident at Villa Médicis in Rome[8].

His films such Solar Noon,[41][42][43][44](2022), have been selected at several international festivals, most recently Land of Barbar[45] at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)[46][47]

Awards
[edit]He was a finalist for the Studio Collector prize at the Photo Days Festival at the MEP in Paris in 2022. Solar Noon receives the CIFRA prize at Loop Fair Barcelona in 2023.[49]
In 2025, Land of Barbar received the Award of the Best World Experimental Documentary Film at[50] (IDFF).
