[edit]Dynamo Software, Inc. is a U.S.-headquartered software company providing an AI-powered platform for the alternative investments industry. The platform’s modules support customer relationship management (CRM), deal management, portfolio monitoring, fund accounting, and investor reporting. The global headquarters is located in Watertown, Massachusetts, with offices in the United Kingdom, Paris, Sofia (Bulgaria), Dubai (UAE), Singapore, and Hong Kong. Dynamo Software is used by more than 1,000 general and limited partners globally.[1]
History
[edit]Founded in 1998 in Sofia, Bulgaria, by Dilyan Pavlov and Krassen Draganov, the company originally operated as Netage Solutions.[2] Its first product, DealDynamo, was an application designed to manage deal pipelines, productivity, and investor relations.[3]
In 2000, the company incorporated in the United States and established its global headquarters in Watertown, Massachusetts.[4] Fifteen years later, in 2015, it rebranded as Dynamo Software[5] and expanded its international footprint with the formation of Dynamo Software UK Limited and a London office.[6] Growth into Asia followed, with a Singapore office opening in 2016.[7]
In 2017, private equity firm Francisco Partners acquired a majority stake in Dynamo Software, providing capital to support Dynamo’s global expansion and product capabilities.[8]
As part of the investment by Francisco Partners, Hank Boughner joined Dynamo Software as CEO in 2017 and Krassen Draganov became Chief Product Officer.[9] In 2019, the company expanded further into Asia by launching Dynamo Software HK Limited in Hong Kong.
In 2021, Blackstone Growth joined Francisco Partners as an investor to support Dynamo Software’s expansion and product development.[10] The following year, in 2022, the company extended its presence to the Middle East with a new office in the United Arab Emirates.[11]

[edit]Dynamo Software's AI-powered, multi-tenant, cloud software platform specifically covering the front, middle and back office for the alternatives investing ecosystem. General partners (GPs) and limited partners (LPs) use the platform to manage capital across specific investments, sectors, and global strategies.
In 2025, the company released Dynamo v3.0, a platform upgrade to introduce a new interface. The updated version was built to “improve usability and reduce friction for users”. Platform updates included navigation changes, overall UI/UX workflow improvements, and the ability to manage multiple tasks on one screen.[12]

[edit]On October 22, 2025, Dynamo Software released Dynamo v3.0, a major update to its investment management platform.[13] The update introduced a new interface that integrated pre- and post-investment workflows into one system. Dynamo CEO Hank Boughner was quoted as saying, “By combining seamless automation and configuration, along with advanced AI capabilities, all within a single, unified platform, we’re giving our clients the tools to scale efficiently, stay ahead of market challenges, and outpace peers in the market.”[14]
Features of Dynamo v3.0 included AI-enhanced workflows, a cloud-native architecture, and an AI-powered Document Hub that automated data extraction and document management. According to the company’s press release, the platform was built with a focus on security.
DynamoAI
[edit]Introduced as part of the Dynamo v3.0 release in October 2025, DynamoAI is the artificial intelligence layer embedded across the Dynamo platform.[13] It operates natively alongside clients' proprietary data and workflows to support research, due diligence, portfolio construction, monitoring, and reporting for GPs and LPs in the private markets. DynamoAI is delivered through a suite of five (5) agents, each targeting a distinct stage of the investment lifecycle.
