Astrotalk is an Indian online astrology platform that connects users with astrologers through chat and voice consultations. The company was founded in 2017 by Puneet Gupta and operates as a digital marketplace for astrology-related services.[3]
Headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, the platform provides services such as horoscope readings, Kundli analysis, numerology, tarot reading, and other Vedic astrology consultations.
History
[edit]Astrotalk was founded in 2017 by Puneet Gupta following a pivot from his previous IT services company, CodeYeti.[2][4] The concept for the platform emerged after Gupta’s personal experience consulting an astrologer, which led to the idea of building a digital marketplace connecting users with astrologers.[5]
In October 2024, the company launched Astrotalk Store, an online platform offering astrology-related products and spiritual items.[citation needed]
Leadership
[edit]Anmol Jain joined Astrotalk in 2021 as Chief Business Officer, where he was involved in scaling the company’s operations. In 2023, he was elevated to the position of co-founder.[6][failed verification][7][failed verification]
Global presence
[edit]By 2024, Astrotalk expanded its operations into several international markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.[8] Astrotalk is also associated with related brands operating in the United States, including Lumus, an astrology-focused mobile application.[9][10][failed verification]
Services
[edit]Astrotalk provides a range of astrology-related services and products, including horoscope readings, Kundli generation, numerology consultations, tarot readings, and palmistry. The platform also offers kundli matching for marriage, one-to-one chat and voice consultations with astrologers, live astrology sessions, online Pooja, and Vedic astrology consultations.[11]
Funding
[edit]In August 2021, the company raised approximately $811,000 in seed funding through QED Innovation Labs.[12][failed verification] In February 2024, Astrotalk raised $20 million in a Series A funding round led by Left Lane Capital at a pre-money valuation of around $200 million.[13][failed verification] In April 2024, the company raised an additional $9.5 million led by Elev8 Venture Partners, increasing its post-money valuation to approximately $300 million.[14]
