[edit]

Glens Falls Bank was established in Glens Falls in 1851. It was renamed Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Company in 1932. In 1951, the bank moved its headquarters to 250 Glen Street in Glens Falls.[6]

Arrow Financial Corporation was established as the bank's holding company in 1983. In 1995, Saratoga National Bank and Trust Company was formed, expanding its banking operations into Saratoga County.[1][6]

In 2000, Arrow acquired an insurance agency, which later became part of Upstate Agency, LLC. Arrow acquired an insurance agency and consolidated its insurance operations under the Upstate Agency name in 2018.[5][6]

At the end of 2024, Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Company and Saratoga National Bank and Trust Company were unified under a single national bank charter. The resulting bank began operating as Arrow Bank National Association in January 2025. By August 2025, it had 38 branches.[1][2][3][7]

On July 1, 2026, Arrow Financial Corporation completed its acquisition of Adirondack Bancorp, Inc., the parent company of Adirondack Bank. Adirondack Bank, which had 19 branches in Oneida, Herkimer, Franklin, Essex and Clinton counties before the acquisition, merged into Arrow Bank.[3][4]

[edit]

Arrow Bank offers deposit accounts, commercial and consumer lending, residential mortgages, home equity financing, trust services and retirement planning.[3]
