Aejaz Gulab is an Indian action director and film director who works primarily in Hindi cinema and Indian web series. He has worked on more than 500 film and television projects since the 1980s.[1]
Early life and background
[edit]Gulab is the son of Gulab Rao, who was also an action director in the Hindi film industry.[2]
According to Hindustan Times, he began his career in 1991 working as a body double for actor Aamir Khan and later for actress Pooja Bhatt, before moving into action direction.[3]
The same report states that he had to discontinue his formal education to support his family and entered the film industry through his father's work.[4]
Career
[edit]Gulab started as a stunt performer and later became an independent action director. His film credits include Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007), Ek Villain (2014), and Saiyaara.[5]
He has also worked on web series such as The Family Man, Rana Naidu, and Guns & Gulaabs.[6]
In 2026, he was the action director for Dhurandhar The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar. According to The Tribune, Gulab spent 70 days in pre production and 135 days filming action sequences for the film.[7]
The Tribune further reported that for Dhurandhar he collaborated with stunt coordinators Yannick Ben and Sea-Young Oh.[8]
Gulab has also directed films. Hindustan Times reported that he directed Ab Tak Chhappan 2.[9]
