1GLOBAL (then, TP Global Operations Limited) was established in 2022 by: Hakan Koç (Commonly associated with his company AUTO1 Group) and Pyrros Koussios.[12] [5] [13][14]

On 24th January 2023, 1GLOBAL acquired the assets of Truphone Ltd. after securing a variety of licenses from the UK and other national and regional governments - this included undergoing a national security review in the UK, Germany and the US.[15]

In 2026, the companies of Schwarz Group acquired a 9.9% stake in 1GLOBAL.[16]

2022 December: The assets sale of Truphone Ltd. to TP Global Operations Limited is approved by the UK Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy under the NSIA 2021.[15]
2023 January: 1GLOBAL completes the acquisition of Truphone Ltd., securing variety of licenses from the UK and other governments. Undergoes successful national security review in the UK, Germany and US. [15]

February: 1GLOBAL makes their first public appearance under new ownership, by presenting the eSIM Consumer IoT SGP.31 standard at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.[17] [18]

2026 April: Germany based Schwarz Group (Lidl) acquires a 9.9% stake in 1GLOBAL. As part of the agreement, 1GLOBAL serves as the exclusive technology partner for Schwarz Group’s mobile connectivity for five years.[41]

1GLOBAL provides connectivity services and telecommunications technology to businesses. It involves solutions for consumer devices: including smartphones, tablets, wearables etc., as well as IoT devices such as cameras, trackers, sensors etc. It's portfolio is catered to different types of industries and B2B use cases.[42][1][3][4][43]

1. Business Mobile Plans

1GLOBAL provides cellular voice and data services for employee smartphones, tablets and other connected devices. The service uses physical SIM cards and eSIMs, combined with 1GLOBAL’s Remote SIM Management platform, that lets organizations deploy, manage, and monitor mobile plans remotely. As a part of this, it supports multiple eSIM deployment and integration methods, including Zero Touch provisioning through MDM software such as Jamf Pro, Apple Lookup Service, EID preload, QR code activation, and the 1GLOBAL iOS app.[44] [45] [46] [47] [48] [49] [50] [1] [51]

2. Communications Recording & Transcription

1GLOBAL provides communications-recording and analytics services for regulated organisations and other businesses that need to capture, retain and analyse employee communications.

The services support the recording of mobile voice calls, SMS messages and supported communications conducted through collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams and Whatsapp. Recordings can be stored in 1GLOBAL’s cloud environment or transferred to a customer-operated archive or compliance platform.[52] [53] [54] [55]

2.1. Mobile recording for compliance

The communications-recording service is primarily intended for financial institutions and other organisations subject to regulatory record-keeping and monitoring requirements under regulations like MiFID II, Dodd Frank Act - among others.

Supported business calls and messages are captured at the mobile-network level rather than traditionally through an application installed on the employee’s device. Use cases can involve using the recordings for internal monitoring, investigations, regulatory reporting and the reconstruction of communications involving employees, clients and counterparties. The service can be integrated with external archiving, surveillance and compliance systems through application programming interfaces.[56] [57]

2.2. AI transcription and communications analytics

1GLOBAL’s communications-analytics services convert recorded voice communications into searchable, time-stamped transcripts. The system can support automated transcription, translation, call summaries, keyword and phrase searches, speaker identification and contextual (sentiment) analysis. Businesses can use these functions to identify recurring topics, customer concerns, potential conduct risks and patterns within recorded employee communications. Transcripts and related metadata can be exported or integrated with customer-relationship-management, compliance, surveillance and business-intelligence systems.[56] [58] [59]

3. IoT Connectivity

1GLOBAL provides cellular connectivity for Internet of Things devices, including payment terminals, asset trackers, cameras, sensors, shared-mobility vehicles and connected products supplied by equipment manufacturers. Its IoT services support physical SIM cards and eSIMs and cellular technologies including 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G and LTE-M (subject to network availability). The company uses multi-IMSI technology to allow compatible devices to connect to supported networks across different countries. This is intended for device fleets that operate internationally or require access to more than one mobile network.[60] [61] [59] [62] [63] [64]

4. eSIM Software for Mobile Operators

1GLOBAL supplies eSIM-management software and telecommunications infrastructure to other mobile network operators and mobile virtual network operators. It includes consumer remote SIM provisioning based on the GSMA SGP.22 specification, an eSIM IoT Manager based on SGP.32, machine-to-machine remote SIM provisioning based on SGP.02 and a device-entitlement server. These systems allow operators to create, distribute and manage eSIM profiles, support digital customer onboarding and control access to network-supported services on compatible devices.[65] [66] [67] [68] [33] [69] [70] [71]

5. Embedded Telecommunication & White Labelled eSIMs

1GLOBAL provides telecommunications infrastructure that allow other consumer facing businesses to incorporate mobile connectivity into their own applications and offer the resulting service under their own brands. The service is intended but not limited to businesses in sectors including financial technology, travel, aviation, retail and hospitality. Businesses can integrate the service through APIs or distribute eSIMs using QR codes. Depending on the product and country, the underlying infrastructure can include eSIM provisioning, mobile data, voice and SMS, local telephone numbers, roaming, number portability, billing and access to network features such as 5G, Voice over LTE and Wi-Fi calling.[72] [73] [74] [22] [75]
