Divya Ganesh (born 12 September 1994)[1] is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Tamil television and films. She is known for playing Ganga in Mahanadhi and Ramya Saravanan in Annam. She participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 9 and emerged as the winner in 2026.[2]
Career
[edit]Divya started her career in 2015 as an television supporting actress in the second season of the serial Keladi Kanmani playing the character role of Chembaruthi.[3] In 2016, she later starred in the Star Vijay series Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa playing a key supporting character called Kani.[4] In 2017, she made her film debut in the comedy film Sakka Podu Podu Raja which starred Santhanam in which she played minor role.[5] In 2019, she made her Telugu debut in the serial Bhagyarekha which aired on Gemini TV and played the main leading role. The same year she also appeared in the series Baakiyalakshmi which aired on Star Vijay.[6][7] In 2023, she played the role of Ganga in the serial Mahanadhi.[8] However in August 2024, she quit the series due to personal reasons.[9] In 2024, she acted in serial Annam as the lead role which aired on Sun TV. In 2025, she participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 9 which was hosted by Vijay Sethupathi and joined as a wildcard contestant, she also later emerged as the season's winner.[10][11] In 2026, she acted in the third season of the drama web series Sshhh 3 playing a lead role once again with co actresses Poonam Bajwa and Kiran Rathod.[12]
Personal life
[edit]Divya was engaged to be married to actor R. K. Suresh in 2017. She said that Suresh was from her hometown of Ramanathapuram and that she really liked him.[13] The marriage was called off due to differences.[14]
