Club Mostakbal El Marsa (نادي مستقبل المرسى), commonly known as CM El Marsa, is a Moroccan association football club based in the port town of El Marsa in the Laâyoune Province of Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.[1] The club competes in the Amateur National, the third tier of the Moroccan football league system.[2]
History
[edit source]Regional Growth and Amateurs I
[edit source]CM El Marsa was established to foster athletic competition and youth development in the coastal industrial port municipality of El Marsa near Laâyoune.[3] The team initially competed in the regional divisions administered by the Sahara Regional Football League before gaining promotion to the national amateur tiers governed by the Ligue Nationale du Football Amateur (LNFA).[4]
South Group Title and Promotion (2024–25)
[edit source]During the 2024–25 season, CM El Marsa enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in Amateurs I (Amateurs I). Finishing as champions of the South Group, the team secured historic direct promotion to the third-tier Amateur National for the 2025–26 season.[5]
2025–26 Throne Cup Campaign
[edit source]In May 2026, CM El Marsa achieved nationwide media coverage during the 2024–25 Moroccan Throne Cup round of 32.[6] Playing away against top-flight Botola Pro club HUS Agadir at the Adrar Stadium, CM El Marsa pushed the match into extra time before eventually falling 3–2.[7]
Stadium
[edit source]The club plays its home matches at the Stade Municipal d'El Marsa (الملعب البلدي بالمرسى), located in El Marsa.[8] The stadium features an artificial turf pitch with a seating capacity of approximately 1,000 spectators.
