Ambhora Bridge is India's first cable stayed bridge with spectators gallery. The bridge is located at Ambhora, which is the confluence of five rivers — Wainganga, Kanhan, Aam, Kolari and Murza.[1][2]
Description
[edit]The bridge was build on backwaters of Gosikhurd dam by the PWD. The cost of bridge was Rs 176 crore, the construction started in March 2019 and completed in January 2024.[3]
Tourism
[edit]The main attraction of the structure is a spectator gallery built on its central pylon which is about 40 metres high. Two lifts are constructed for the restaurant located at the top and the restaurant seating capacity is 150.[4]
