The 2026 Kerry Intermediate Football Championship (known as the Kerry Petroleum Intermediate Club Football Championship for sponsorship reasons) is the latest instalment of the Kerry Intermediate Football Championship. The tournament consists of Kerry GAA's 16 intermediate club teams.

Format

[edit source]

The 16 clubs were drawn into four groups of 4 teams each.[3] Each team is to play the other three teams in their group once, having one home match, one away match and one at a neutral venue. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals with each group winner playing the runner-up of another group at home.

The winners of the championship will be promoted to the 2027 Kerry Club Football Championship and will represent Kerry in the 2026 Munster Intermediate Club Football Championship. The 4 teams who finish bottom of their group will advance to the relegation play-off semi-finals. The losers of the semi-finals will then contest the final play-off with the losers of this match dropping down to the Junior Premier Championship for 2027.

Ballymacelligott were promoted to the Internediate Championship for 2026 having won the Junior Premier Championship in 2025.[4] They replace An Ghaeltacht who were promoted to the Senior Championship.[5]
