Welcome to the assessment department of WikiProject Canadian communities. We assess the quality and importance of Settlements in Canada related articles. Work is done with conjunction with the Wikipedia 1.0 Editorial team, and the worklist is produced by WP 1.0 bot.

It should be of a length suitable for the subject, appropriately structured, and be well referenced by a broad array of reliable sources. It should be well illustrated, with no copyright problems. Only minor style issues and other details need to be addressed before submission as a featured article candidate. See the A-Class assessment departments of some of the larger WikiProjects (e.g. WikiProject Military history). |

- Top - The article is about one of the core topics of Canadian communities, such as the main cities. Adds articles to Category:Top-importance Canadian communities articles
- High - The article is about the best-known Canadian cities. Adds articles to Category:High-importance Canadian communities articles
- Mid - The article is about any incorporated (or formerly incorporated) community in Canada. Adds articles to Category:Mid-importance Canadian communities articles
- Low - The article is about a topic that is highly specialized within the field of Canadian geography studies and is not generally common knowledge outside that community, such as unincorporated communities, neighbourhoods and designated places. Adds articles to Category:Low-importance Canadian communities articles
- NA - The article does not requite an importance rating. Adds articles to Category:No-importance Canadian communities articles
- Articles that are not importance-rated will be found in Category:Unknown-importance Canadian communities articles. Rating is required for articles found in this category.
