You are currently viewing the requests for decrease in protection level subpage of Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. Before posting a request for unprotection, please discuss it with the protecting administrator first. You can create a request below if you receive no response from them. Instructions To find out which administrator protected the page, go to the page's edit history and click on the "View logs for this page" link (located underneath the page's title). The protecting administrator is listed in the protection log entry, next to the words "protected", "changed protection level", or "configured pending changes". If there are a large number of log entries on the page, use the drop-down menu near the top of the page and select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" to filter the logs accordingly. Indefinite pending changes: Persistent vandalism – Requesting reduction in protection to pending changes, page was inf semi-protected over 3 years ago. The page also desperately needs updates and allowing more people to submit edits may help solve this. Szxq (talk) 05:21, 25 September 2026 (UTC)

Robbie Williams

Reason: Hello, I would like to request the removal of protection from the article about Robbie Williams. This article has been protected for over 15 years—a very long time—and I believe it is worth testing whether such protection is still necessary. A similar case is the article about Elton John, where protection was recently lifted after many years. Given that the Elton John article can now be edited without restriction, I think it would be reasonable to allow a trial period without protection for the Robbie Williams article as well, and to monitor whether any serious vandalism or other content disruption occurs.
