  • Split Apple Watch into Apple Watch and Apple Watch Ultra. With the announcement of the Apple Watch Ultra 2, it is clear that Apple sees the device as a seperate product line similar to the iPhone Pro series. The Ultra line of watches have a specific target market (hiking, trailing, & diving) and have enough distinct hardware and software features that set them apart from standard Apple Watch models even further than typical generational upgrades. • Split KITT into KITT (Knight Rider) and KARR (Knight Rider) (this is a disambiguation page back to the section in KITT). The KITT article is about a TV show character, but it currently includes a section about a totally separate character from the TV show, KARR. User RJX74 brought up this issue on the Talk page in 2011, but it seems there was no discussion about it at that time. If agreed, I am unable to do the split (never created an article before and don't want to mess it up!). Pompeivsmangvs (talk) 11:56, 16 September 2025 (UTC)

If agreed, I cannot do the split and would require assistance. 112.198.87.102 (talk) 22:45, 6 September 2025 (UTC)

This request has been opposed at Talk:WarnerMedia and this user appears to have a pattern of making such requests without any legitimate reason other than their own opinion of the companies. Trailblazer101 (talk) 23:17, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
  • Split Crunchyroll into Crunchyroll and Crunchyroll, Inc.. I think the article can be split into the Crunchyroll article by covering some parts of history in the lead section, The Anime Awards and Crunchyroll Expo to form another article called Crunchyroll, Inc. which highlights, apart from the launch of the streaming platform, how the media company was founded, its origins from May 2006 to mid-March 2022, being merged with Funimation to Crunchyroll, LLC as both companies closed between 2022 and 2023 until 2024. 190.166.242.220 (talk) 23:00, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
Oppose as unnecessary The information and history regarding the company behind Crunchyroll's OTT streaming service platform (the base Crunchyroll article) already covers the origins, history, and progression of the original Crunchyroll media company, so I don't see the need to split that content off from the current article as it would seem to be an inconvenience for our readers who might want to learn how the original Crunchyroll got started only for them to need to be directed to a separate article page. The original Crunchyroll company has since been merged with and folded into the Funimation company, which is detailed sufficiently at Crunchyroll, LLC due to the myriad business arrangements that resulted in the formation of that company (which readers can still learn about at the base Crunchyroll article itself). Thus, I don't see any content as needing to be split here. Red Shogun412 (talk • contribs) 04:33, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
  • Split Marketing ethics into Marketing Ethics and Ethics in Advertising and Promotion. The section on advertising ethics covers distinct issues, such as manipulation, stereotyping, and social responsibility, which differ from the broader scope of marketing ethics. The current content lacks citations and quality, it seems a textbook rather than a wiki entry. A standalone article would be easier to edit. If agreed, I ‘‘cannot’’ do the split myself as this is my first time, but I can contribute by editing the “Ethics in Advertising and Promotion” section. • Split Arena Football League into Arena Football League and Arena Football League (2024). The proposed 2024 relaunch of the Arena Football League has completely different leadership and management from the previous two incarnations of the AFL, with a different commissioner, hardly any original teams and personalities from the league on board, and completely different markets from what the original AFL would expand into (I doubt even in the original AFL's earliest days they would be willing to expand to Billings, Salina, Rapid City, Dodge City or Council Bluffs). As such, I believe the differences are distinct enough for the past league and the proposed future league to be separate articles, similar to how the various incarnations of the American Basketball Association and World Hockey Association are already treated. If agreed, I {will} do the split. Tom Danson (talk) 01:16, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
  • Split Recognition of same-sex unions in Japan into Recognition of same-sex unions in Japan and Registered partnerships in Japan or Partnership oaths in Japan. Partnership oath registries are growing in number across Japanese municipal and prefectural governments since 2015 in lieu of the Japanese government recognizing same-sex couples. I've participated in updating the main article for years, but the section on partnership registries has grown increasingly complex with a growing list of governments and mutual recognition agreements, not to mention the list on LGBT rights in Japan of governments allowing for the naming of children and in-laws of partners as family members on several registries. In addition, quite a few also allow for common-law opposite-sex couples to join said registries. If agreed, I will do the split, but I understand if a split is not agreed to at this time. . If agreed, I {will} OR {cannot} do the split. 92.11.125.76 (talk) 18:56, 27 November 2023 (UTC)

  • (DISCUSS) SPLIT the K-Pop article into: K-Pop, K-Pop Dance, K-Pop Trainee System, K-Pop Fan Culture. The current main K-Pop article is too long. These topics warrant their own articles & I think in-depth analysis will be more productive in their own dedicated spaces. Their existing parts in the current K-Pop article would be reduced significantly and links to the dedicated pages would be made. This would simplify the K-Pop article whilst enabling greater documentatin of K-Pop culture on Wikipedia. If agreed, I will do this split. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Itzybella8 (talk • contribs) 01:54, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
  • Split Pejorative into Prejorative and Slur. A pejorative and a slur are distinct concepts, though related. A pejorative is any term used to express contempt or disapproval, while a slur is a specific type of pejorative that targets social groups with discriminatory intent. Slurs often involve stereotyping, typically insulting individuals or groups based on factors like ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, or cognitive ability. Although dictionaries like Oxford and Wiktionary recognize this distinction, it's important to acknowledge that the modern, collective understanding of these terms evolves, and not all resources like these may reflect current usage. It is imperative to furthermore consider, for example, how the term "slur" is commonly used to refer to specific terms such as the N-word, which is viewed not just as a simple "curse word" but as a discriminate with a history of racism -- a term that falls under the definition that I have presented. Other derogatory terms like the wikt:F-slur (note this euphemistic title, and how it differs from the "F-word") and the wikt:R-slur are akin to this due to their similar constitutions in society today. If agreed, I will do the split.

P.S. I have no experience splitting articles and would think if a significant amount needs to be moved from the Internet celbirity to the new article that I have created, someone else should handle that.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 22:36, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
  • Split Ashley Gorley into Ashley Gorley and Tape Room Music. Although Ashley Gorley founded Tape Room Music, it is its entirely own company with 5 employees, a roster of 14 writers, and over 40 number ones. It is powerhouse independent music publishing company that should have its own page to distinguish between the two. If agreed, I cannot do the split, as I have never done one and do not know how to do it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Emmajedow (talk • contribs) 15:50, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

[] *Split Tornado outbreak of March 13-16, 2025 into Tornado outbreak of March 13-16, 2025 and 2025 Tylertown EF4 Tornado. The tornado, (Tylertown) has alot of sources and notability. I think it would need a page, due to the fact that this is an absolute HISTORIC tornado outbreak, and atleast 1 tornado on this page needs a page, and I think that tornado is the long tracked EF4 tornado. If agreed, I will do the split., Shaneapickle (talk) 14:29, 22 April 2025 (UTC)

  • Split Six Flags (1961–2024) into Six Flags (1961–2000) and Six Flags (2000–2024). The original Six Flags was bought out and branding assumed by the buyer (Premier Parks) in 2000. This split is necessary to have consistency with the standard established by the latest new buyer (Cedar Fair) in 2024. If agreed, I will do the split. The discussion is linked here. • Split Coen brothers into Coen brothers, Joel Coen, and Ethan Coen. The brothers have both done enough on their own to warrant their own article. Joel directed an Oscar-nominated film on his own, and Ethan will be releasing his third solo feature film this year. (discussion) ClovisBarnhopper (talk) 18:58, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
  • SPLIT (DISCUSS) Type B ship to List of barge types; and retarget incoming redirects from generic barge types to the new list. General barge types do not need to be listed in a WWII U.S. military article, and general barge type pagenames should not redirect to such an article. -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 17:04, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
  • Split Tibetan Muslims into Tibetan Muslims and Islam in Tibet. Tibetan muslim article is about a ethnic group belongs to Tibet whose descendants are kashmiries and tibetans while this article is also merged with Islam in Tibet which is a totally separate topic ( religion-ethnicity). If agreed, I {will} OR {cannot} do the split.Mr.work-shy (talk) 11:00, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
  • Split Japanese horror into Japanese horror and J-horror. (On this page it says one of the links should be red... here "J-horror" is just a redirect to "Japanese horror") This is quite a complicated issue. The article currently presents "J-horror" as merely a synonym for "Japanese horror", which I contend is definitely not true. I have never heard it used outside the discussion of film, and even within the discussion of film, I am of the opinion it more properly refers to a specific movement or subgenre within Japanese horror cinema. I'm not quite sure how the decision of how to interpret this works - you can certainly find "J-horror" used to just mean "Japanese horror films" (many lists and things will use it this way) but in my experience, in scholarly works and by the filmmakers themselves, it is generally used to specifically refer to a new style of Japanese horror film which grew out of TV and V-cinema (direct-to-video) productions in the early 1990s (see Tom Mes - Japanese Film and the Challenge of Video and Michael Crandol - Ghost in the Well). If agreed, I {cannot} do the split. I wouldn't mind doing some work on the J-horror page but I'm pretty inexperienced and don't think I could commit to doing it all. • (DISCUSS) Split ReBoot into two, creating ReBoot (franchise). The base article is functioning as a TV show article and a franchise article. This should be split in two, as there are many subsidiary articles already, to make a hub article, for this show, ReBoot: The Guardian Code, ReBoot: Daemon Rising, ReBoot: My Two Bobs -- 65.93.183.181 (talk) 16:40, 13 July 2025 (UTC)

Devolution in England Split into Draft:Devolution in England with the recent discussion around English devolution and particularly the English Devolution bill I think that this topic should have a dedicated article.ChefBear01 (talk) 17:34, 11 August 2025 (UTC)
