Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Christianity

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a collection of discussions on the deletion and merging of articles related to Christianity. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.

Adding a new AfD discussion
Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion and neither does removing an AfD from this page remove it from the main page at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
  1. Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
  2. You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:deletion sorting|Christianity|sig=~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
Removing a closed AfD discussion
Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
Other types of discussions
You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Christianity. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
Further information
For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

Very small party, just one source mentioning the dissolution of the party. Strainu (talk) 14:48, 4 October 2026 (UTC)reply

St. Gregory's Academy (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

A small school that closed in 2012 after 19 years of operation, and which did not seem to gain significant coverage while it existed. It is briefly mentioned in an EWTN article, but our best source is a short treatment local newspaper. So it does not seem we have multiple sources addressing the subject of the article directly and in depth, as required by WP:SIRS. Since the school is closed, significant coverage is unlikely to appear in the future. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 15:52, 4 October 2026 (UTC)reply

Delete- This article is a very short stub that falls WP:NOTABLE. It clearly doesn’t have enough context to be an article. MarioWonderExpert (talk) 17:51, 4 October 2026 (UTC)reply

St. Theresa High School, Belthangady (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

Declined prod. 2 of the sources are dead. 1 google news hit. Fails NSCHOOL. LibStar (talk) 23:14, 1 October 2026 (UTC)reply

St Joseph's School, Roskilde (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

Fails in GNG and WP:NSCHOOL. My BEOFRE didn't yield anything with SIGCOV to warrant standalone notability. Won't mind withdrawing if useful sources are located. BhikhariInformer‬ 📮 (Ping me or else I won't see it) 17:19, 1 October 2026 (UTC)reply

St. Xavier's School, Nevta (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

Last AfD was 10 years ago, we are now a lot stricter on schools. Fails NSCHOOL. 2 of the sources are its website, the third is a 1 line mention. LibStar (talk) 01:06, 1 October 2026 (UTC)reply

Grace Bible College (India) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

Does not meet WP:GNG or WP:NAUTHOR. Citations are the subject's own ministry site, affiliated theology organisations and blogs. Kqol • talk 23:10, 28 September 2026 (UTC)reply

Act of Congress (music group) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

Doesn't pass WP:NBAND or WP:GNG; only one source meets WP:42, while the rest are trivial mentions, concert announcements, or based on interviews. This includes sources offered by a band member on the talk page. CCM Magazine publishes articles for payment and doesn't appear to publicly disclose which are paid articles. Meadowlark (talk) 00:49, 28 September 2026 (UTC)reply

It appears I got CCM confused with another source (LTTM), and I was wrong about that statement. I've struck it, with apologies. Thanks for pointing that out! Meadowlark (talk) 18:07, 30 September 2026 (UTC)reply

As the article itself points out, we have Saint Anthony of Kiev and Theodosius of Kiev. Why do we need this one too? Anything not already in those two articles can be merged there. Helpful Cat🐈‍⬛ 15:09, 17 September 2026 (UTC)reply

Keep- This article meets Wikipedia’s notability standards, and I believe this short stub has enough context to be kept, and hopefully explanded. MarioWonderExpert (talk) 14:25, 3 October 2026 (UTC)reply
