Keep - I don't really see a rationale from initial nominator, but in my opinion it seems fine as an article - nominator seems to be suggesting it's presentability that's a problem but it seems presentable to me. • Second ref Трофимова Т.А is from 1947 is unverifiable, possibly outdated.
• Third ref Tataurov, Sergey is about Ayalyn Tatars whoever they are and tobolsk is mentioned in passing
• The section group has one footnote at the bottom a text from online journal fr:Cahiers du monde russe of unclear peer review, does diccuss "Tobol’sk Tatars and their sub-groups: 1) Aremzian-Nadtsi, 2) Isker-Tobol’sk, 3) Babasan, 4) Ishtiak-Tokuz," But it does not support the article text other than suggroup names.
• Genetics section:

  first footnote there , Ponomarev, G.Yu.; not a word about Tobol, so I deleted it right now

  footnote Volkov, Vladimir does speak about genes of dome tobol tatar groups, but all this genetics hardly contribute for notabilyty per WP:PRIMARY, and there is no in-depth coverage of thes groups per WP:GNG. All this genetci stuff is highly tentative and must be cited from generalizing sources, not from some reporta aboyt a dozen of testd persons

1. I was able to find an entry for Alfred Jowers in the England 1881 Census. However, it lists Jowers' birth year as approximately 1876, age as 5 at the time, and parents who seem unlikely to have the initials "F.W.". Censuses can have incorrect data, however, there is no source with the birth year of Jowers stated in the article.

2. I cannot find an online copy of the 1834-1914 directory, however, there is a copy of the 1834-1900 directory on the Internet Archive. It does indeed list Jowers on page 514 as a RIBA associate. 3. No mention of Jowers or the RIBA Silver Medal award in 384. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Jowers#cite_ref-MeritMedal_4-0 4.] No mention of Jowers or Medal of Merit in https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015024298120&seq=344 page 254].

• Oppose and speedy close per absence of rationale; The previous page was nominated for redirect rather than deletion, and it was merged since there were less than 10 reliable sources at the time discussion began. The article now currently has over 70 reliable sources indicating WP:GNG, including the character being mentioned in connection to the recent Kumamoto earthquakes. WP:Wikipedia is not a paper encyclopedia. For comparable examples of notability to establish WP:NPOV: Dragon Ball has 25 articles dedicated to the main characters of that series, Batman has an entire template linking to about 100 character articles while Superman also has an entire template linking to over 230 character articles. All of these series have sold less volumes than One Piece , yet have over ~350 articles dedicated to them compared to One Piece. Notability guidelines are clear here and are determined by WP:reliable sources rather than personal opinions. There are more reliable sources than OP claims even if one takes their opinion into complete account and does the math.   Here is a list of secondary sources I found about Jimbei, and how much they contribute to notability in my opinion:

  • MeinMMO: likely reliable, although it's I couldn't find much on Wikipedia about its reliability. However, this doesn't really qualify under WP:NCHARACTER. (Does not)
  • CBR, per WP:NCHARACTER, reliable sources should talk about the subject in a real world perspective, which this does not. Also, CBR is considered situationally reliable per WP:CBR. (Does not)
  • Gamescooper, a dead link. Searching for it provides no results. (Does not based on the fact that it doesn't seem to exist)
  • Asahi Shinbum, which seems fairly reliable, and discusses them in a real-life context. (Does)

  The Crunchyroll source could, although I am not sure if it would count as secondary considering Crunchyroll is a major distributor of One Piece.

  The thesis could definitely be significant coverage of Jimbei, but I unfortunately cannot easily access it.

  I ignored all of the "List of One Piece/Straw Hats characters" as these are not about Jimbei in particular, and are generally not accepted per WP:NCHARACTER.

  The HARAPAN: Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan Dan Psikologi seemed to just mention Jimbei in passing.

  Addressing your other point

Keep per a clear WP:THREE at least - I see Meet Jinbe from Crunchyroll, Who Is Jimbei from Gamescooper, . "10th 'One Piece' statue erected for Kumamoto quake recovery" from Asahi Shinbun, and a master's degree thesis with significant focus on him. Nominator also specifically admits at least five sources go towards sigcov, which more than clears the threshold. WP:PAGEDECIDE doesn't work here, as putting all this info in the article into the main page would either result in a loss of relevant, verifiable information or in a confusing reading experience. Skimming the sources I see nothing in the way of significant analysis or impact outside of a statue, which I would argue is not enough for a reasonable split out. Plot summary similarly is not enough for a split, and if deemed too much should be trimmed down rather than relying on a SIZESPLIT. Well he’s an associate professor at a small private university. He has won some non notable awards. The paper which is discussed at some length in this article has been cited just 254 times so it is far from seminal. There is nothing in a google scholar search to suggest the article is underplaying his academic achievements so it’s a pretty clear fail of WP:NPROF. Mccapra (talk) 20:29, 25 July 2026 (UTC)

Delete. I don't see how any of the awards are prestigious enough for C2, and on Scopus I see a total of 87 citations (including 78 from the ValuJet paper).   @StarryGrandma, I understand, my assessment of "nicheness" was not really the membership size itself but rather the intersection of size and selectivity--it doesn't seem NCA has any requirements to become a "full" or "life" member beyond ability to pay a fee, whereas from what I can see to become a full member of the AAS you must meet 2 of 3 criteria (graduate degree in astro, nom by full member, peer-reviewed paper in a recognized international astro journal). So, 5600 members for a society not restricted to academics (or to any professional background), for a field as broad as "communication", suggests it's rather niche. • Delete does not satisfy any of the NPROF criteria. C2 explicitly states "received a *highly prestigious* academic award or honor" (my emphasis). The bar in C2 is set not just at "prestigious", but at *highly* prestigious. The award cited is from an organisation which is not selective in membership, which mitigates against considering any society awaring a prize as prestigious. • Delete. It might not help that a lot of us on the English Wikipedia are from the West, and it's much harder to find Eastern sources of any kind if you're using Google in America. But I've met a couple of these "Miss" models at special bowling events in the small town that I live in, and they hardly have anything close to enough to write a Wikipedia page. So I could only imagine what it would be like for the same in India. Most of the sourcing is PR, a news piece, a blog, and official websites for models. Deaths are not required for a WP article as evidenced by Air France Flight 358 and US Airways Flight 1549. Neither is there a requirement for the flight to be of a huge airline, like United or Qantas, or that the aircraft be jet powered, as in Regional Airlines Flight 9288. In this Kenmore Air crash, 100% of the people in the aircraft were injured, including some in critical condition, broken bones, etc. It is the 2nd worse crash in the airline's 80 year history. Not sure how OR is relevant as this is all based on legitimate reporting. EVENTCRIT#2 covers this incident. Reports such as the one I linked in my !vote go beyond standard routine coverage. • Keep Notability requires only that suitable independent, reliable sources exist in the real world. I went through the Russian-language citations in reverse order from 33 to 28, and found coverage from reliable Russian sources; it was mostly independent of the subject (some of it was based on interviews with the subject or with experts); the coverage was more than just passing mentions; and demonstrated that the subject has attracted attention over a sufficiently significant period of time (there were citations from 2022, 2023, and 2025). A major fault with the article is that citation templates do not give the dates and (where stated) the names of the authors. It would also help if the trans-title field of the citation template was also used. If there are Wikipedia articles on the publications, either in English or Russian, they should also be linked to because that helps readers assess their value as sources (the same issue applies to Indian and Pakistan articles). Oppose Pokémon Go is not related to Niantic Spatial. Niantic has essentially been absorbed into Scopely since last year. nianticlabs.com redirects to Scopely. Niantic Spatial is a spinoff from the Scopely purchase in which Niantic's IP and other services were kept. The industry is rife with scammers and bad actors - these guys have a long history and actually were first to do it online in UK. Something like WP I think helps people when doing research and avoiding falling into a scam trap.

While going through the List of alien races in DC Comics during the concurrent AFD to see which entries actually have articles, I found several that don't appear to actually qualify for articles as they do not pass the WP:GNG, with this one being one of the more egregious examples. The only sources included outside of the three issues of the single storyline they appeared in are simply listicles or extremely brief (i.e. two sentences) plot summary, all from Comic Book Resources. Even if WP:VALNET was not an issue with those sources, they would still not actually qualify for being significant coverage sufficient for passing the WP:GNG. Searches are not bringing up any actual significant coverage in reliable sources regarding this obscure comic race - just user generated content on wikis or extremely brief mentions in plot summaries. Delete The only awards are ones reserved for local performers and all but one of the references are from the local newspaper. The only reference not from the local newspaper is more focused on the structure/building that they perform in than the company itself. The LA Times may also be a "major regional paper with national reach", but it doesn't take much for a Pasadena based company to get into the LA Times- it's still the local paper. They don't meet any of the requirements listed on WP:BAND, but the primary reason I'm for deletion is that there is also no proof of "significant or demonstrable effects on culture, society, entertainment, athletics, economies, history, literature, science, or education" (WP:ORG) Sesamehoneytart 19:56, 24 July 2026 (UTC)

I agree the LA Times has a wide reach, but the LA Times also serves as the local newspaper for Los Angeles, and a local business getting a space in the local paper should not be treated as international coverage simply because the newspaper happens to have an international reach. WP:AUD refers to the audience, but an LA company with coverage in the LA Times is just as likely due to ease of access by the writer than because it appeals to an international audience. Even the American Theater reference was written and submitted by an LA Times writer. Do any other equally well established newspapers or similar have coverage? I don't understand what you're trying to argue, of course LA writers are writing about LA things. There's no requirement that a subject have an international or even national reach to be notable. The LA Times is also not a "local paper" just because it is geographically an LA paper. "Local media" is defined at WP:AUD in the NORG guideline as e.g., the weekly newspaper for a small town. In short, correlation does not equal causation. To try another approach, as you said, /of course LA writers are writing about LA things/. One of the requirements of sigcov are that sources are "Independent of the subject", specifically "Independence of the content". I'm not saying the LA Times references necessarily are due to locality, but there is also no proof that local bias is more at play than range of audience. Without this proof, the GNG argument crumbles since the LA Times is currently the only significant reference supporting GNG. Do any other equally well established newspapers or similar have coverage? I really don't know what you're getting at with "local bias." There's nothing at WP:INDEPENDENT that suggests coverage from people who live in the same region is comprmised. AUD is also clear here, "Significant coverage in media with [...] at least a regional audience (e.g., the biggest daily newspaper in any US state) is a strong indication of notability." You may be more familiar with the article on Theater_of_War_Productions, which does has references from the NY Times and the New Yorker, but also is referenced in the Boston Globe, LA Times, and has reviews by BBC and the Belfast Telegraph.   I hate to OSE it, but this is very similar to the theaters and theater companies in Category:Theatre companies in Los Angeles. These aren't all the best pages, but most are adequately notable from local coverage of their spaces and performances. They're not just generic small businesses like restaurants; and the building is not distinct from the organization that built, manages, and performs it, they are integrally tied and sources about either the physical theater and and the plays that are produced there both contribute to its notability. I don't think OSE makes the statement I think you intend it to make, considering that every time I've asked if a source is independent of the subject, I've been met with proof that a source is reliable- the LA Times doesn't exactly have the best reputation when it comes to editorial independence- and if there is confusion between reliable and independent here, it's likely occurred many other times. Comment While the LA Times is the most well known source, it should be noted that every currently listed source is based in the area. As of right now, this article has ten separate references. Five are from LA Times. One is an American Theater column by an LA Times critic. One from the Daily Breeze, a newspaper based in Hermosa Beach. One is an architectural magazine that does mention this group in passing, but is more interested in the building they happen to currently be performing in. That is not relevant to notability guidelines. Note the link is specifically for coverage in "on Business by LA Times Studios" which is not relevant here. Press releases are a tool that organizations and individuals use to communicate with the press; journalists and papers routinely get pitches and releases. If you do have evidence that money changed hands between A Noise Within and the editors of the LA Times, feel free to supply it. It's a RS that has consensus behind its reliability, so the presumption is that it continues to be reliable—many RSs have policies to allow for sponcon these days. That's also a completely different conversation than the original one of whether local coverage is more questionable than non-local coverage. The sources in question are bona fide (LA Times is repeatedly confirmed by consensus WP:LATIMES, American Theater and Backstage are both reputable trade magazines in the theater community).

I understand that you're not coming to it with any ill will (and the article certainly could use work), but it's a very very odd interpretation of the guidelines. I'm pretty sure we've all been in agreement so far that the LA Times is generally reliable. What isn't clear is whether or not the LA Times articles being used to support GNG are also independent of the subject, a separate requirement for GNG. I don't think that lack of proof on one side should be considered proof that the other side is correct. They do read like press releases, but as far as I'm aware, there is no proof for either side.   Medium is not a reliable source, and I'm sure The Game Awards website will probably have something that backs up the award. Per WP:NACTOR, a voice actor would be considered notable if they've had significant roles in multiple notable films, notable television shows, stage performances, or other notable productions or if they have unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment, and I don't see evidence of either of those conditions being met. I do not think A Taste of the Past is notable either (in a nutshell, I judge notability by the reception section, and there is none for that article) so it would likely not count toward GNG. Keep - I'd say NACTOR isn't in play here, it's WP:ARTIST, which only requires one significant, well-known work with multiple reviews - and she does in fact have that one in Taste of the Past (reviews by NookGaming, IndieHive, and HeyPoorPlayer. Jishara (talk) 23:45, 24 July 2026 (UTC)

Weak delete The keep nominations ignore a few things: first, that the notability of A Taste of the Past is being disputed and its status as "one significant, well-known work with multiple reviews" is not strongly evidenced by coverage in unreliable indie games pages such as Hey Poor Player. Also, substantial elements of the coverage cited consist of interview coverage about Pitcher in her own words: for instance, the Entrepreneur "as-told-to essay" and the Game Developer and 80 Level coverage restating the content of a video interview. These are mostly primary sources. There is some sound coverage, such as the Business Insider and Daily Bruin profiles, albeit the latter is a student newspaper entry about her as a student. But as a whole the coverage doesn't really provide a picture of the key elements of Pitcher's career at a level that addresses the main elements of the topic; the Business Insider is very helpful but mostly about her brand strategy, for instance. I first went to the article, after seeing the AFD. What luck, the first random source I looked at (currently #3, "gamehers") was a 404 "page not found". The second, lilys-world-xd-official-reveal-trailer, did not advance notability, and the third, "GDC Festival of Gaming", returned "Page Not Found". I had to start from the beginning and look at every source, looking for a solid two or three that advanced notability. That number is more that the straw grasping "one" source (A Taste of the Past) with multiple reviews" listed above in a "keep" !vote. Both GNG and SNG indicate needing significant indepth coverage in reliable and independent sources. There is absolutely nothing in the Wikipedia:policies and guidelines that hints that one source can seal the deal on notability. Fails being widely publicized on the individual, not just connected to, or primarily about a company the subject founded.

The subject is a content creator that is working to create games. The more the exposure the better the likelihood of creating a possible internet phenomena, that as of yet, has not occurred. This strange and short article, with one citation to some sort of electronics text, is baffling (to a non-engineer like me), a near-orphan, and does not seem to make any notability claim about its purpose. TNT. It appears that this article had a full rewrite in 2013 seen here, and a major copy edit in 2008 here. The current version is taken word for word from Principles of Electronics. This appears to be a correct term, as I found several other sources describing it, including Solid State Devices and Electronics and several Google Scholar papers.

Per WP:SUMMARY, the 2026 Iranian strikes on the Kurdistan Region is a distinct military campaign that should be covered in detail in its own article, with a summary and main article linkage in the broader 2026 Kurdish–Iranian crisis article. The strikes article contains extensive coverage and sources, and other actors, which would make the crisis article unnecessarily large and less readable if merged. Update - I added a section to the town this airport primarily serves (that one needed some work too) but I haven't set the original as a redirect yet, considering the afd nomination. • Keep. As the articles creator, I believe it should remain an article because its one of the most significant flight sims, and the most significant mil. flight sim other than DCS. So there obviously should be info on it here and it shouldn't just be a red link. On sourcing, having compared my article to others (especially in the flight sim genre) it is sourced BETTER than others such as SimplePlanes or something like Falcon 4.0: Allied Force because those use older/unreliable sources or are using primary sources (such as Steam pages), whereas this article uses secondary sources that are considered reliable (for example I have definitely seen roadtovr.com used in other articles e.g. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown). Although I'm new to Wikipedia, it seems like your distinction of what is 'reliable' seems opinionated and not based on fact. If you have issues with the quality of the article then you can improve it, instead of just being lazy and deleting it. Thanks.

@PrimevalTea Could not find any mainstream coverage of the game outside of the niche of roadtovr.com and similar sites. Falcon 4.0. at least has a reliable print source, while AC7 has significant coverage as a major AAA game. Remember, it's not your problem that a game has minimal coverage, it's the game's own fault. @Go D. Usopp You have a fair point. I reread WP:NOTABILITY and understand more now.. The 'reliable' aspect still seems debatable, especially around game reviews considering that reviews are opinion-based things so reliability on a per-site basis seems silly (I've seen some really insane takes even on 'reliable websites' such as metacritic). @PrimevalTea Metacritic is sourced only for the game's score. Reviews are important not because of the point of view, but because it means that the game is well known enough to be covered. There are standards to determine which websites should be reviewed, because practically anyone can make a website and type the most basic ass review if there were no limitations.
