Use dmy dates

[edit]

Would it be possible for this template to incorporate Module:Auto date formatter to automatically adjust its display based on the use of Template:Use dmy dates/Template:Use mdy dates? That would remove potential issues around using df wrongly, and simplify usage. CMD (talk) 16:29, 16 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Suppressing year display

[edit]

Would it be possible to add a parameter to suppress displaying the year? Though not required, MOS:DATERANGE does indicate that omitting the year from the first date in a range is acceptable if both dates are in the same year. For example, the start and end dates in the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations qualification infobox currently read 19 February 2025  28 October 2025 because {{start date}} and {{end date}} are used, but suppressing display of the year would provide 19 February  28 October 2025 while still providing the necessary metadata. I just thought this might be a nice quality-of-life improvement, but I'm not particularly hung up on whether it is included. Whether year suppression is included here, it should not be included in {{end date}}. — Jkudlick  (talk) 02:26, 14 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

{{Start and end dates}}. It's linked from the "See also" section of the documentation. – Jonesey95 (talk) 07:06, 14 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
