Add notice to avert ongoing student vandalism?

[edit]

We're still having to revert a fairly significant number of edits from OLES2129 students who apparently have been improperly instructed to strike out entries in the requested articles list when they select that topic as their class project. I've even had to start leaving talk page notices when they make repeated attempts after being reverted.

JalenFolf left a talk page message for the instructor, Fransplace, asking about the issue, but that was almost two weeks ago and it seems to have been lost in the noise.

Perhaps it's time to add a notice to this template alerting students to the correct procedure and admonishing against following the instructions they've been given, in the hopes that it will avert at least some of this continuing vandalize-revert cycle? (If nothing else it will at least provide a clear statement on the issue, so we can direct their attention to it in edit summaries and talk page notices.) -- FeRDNYC (talk) 01:13, 30 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

It appears that the instructor hasn't responded to anything on their talk page since 2014, so I don't think that's an avenue with much chance of success. -- FeRDNYC (talk) 01:18, 30 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
