Diameter data

Additional parameters
[edit]Why not add additional parameters such as: density in terms of Earth density, irradiation in terms of Earth irradiation and equilibrium temperature in degrees K? Degree sign
[edit]@Slovborg, Lithopsian, and Jo-Jo Eumerus: The degree sign under inclination is hard to read when there are +/− values, especially when they are improbably precise (as they sometimes are with this template). Better would be the ISO standard of e.g. 35°+20°/−15°. But that would be best handled at {{val}}. Could we move the automated degree sign to u=° in the val template, and then fix its display there? — kwami (talk) 21:31, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
- I haven't noticed a problem, but then I don't tend to star at orbitboxes too closely. Details will vary depending on your font setup and device. A solution that may address this is the common practice of placing units in the column title. This will work for inclination, where the unit is unlikely to ever be anything other than degrees. It might even be spelled out. The orbital period (days) and semimajor axis (AU) columns already have the unit in the column header. Mass doesn't, perhaps because the mass unit may vary?
