Needs update
[edit]This template was last updated (significantly) in February 2017. It seems to be in need of updating again (and possibly a complete refactoring). At least some links it provides aren't working. The ones I've checked go to pages at the NLM website, but the pages don't have any relevant info for the terms being linked. Examples: MeSH E01.370.985 from Xenodiagnosis, and MeSH C04.182.473 from Mesenteric cyst. (In both cases, I've omitted the second unnamed parameter in the template calls here, because the current version of this template ignores that parameter.) Alternatively, the template could be abandoned completely, as only about 150 articles use it. - dcljr (talk) 04:51, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- Seems to be working now, although there are still links that don't work, perhaps because the codes are out of date. - dcljr (talk) 00:18, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
MeSH/MeSH2
[edit]I was here to try and figure out if the MeSH template can add the code/subheading title automatically, but I think it would also be pretty good to have space (in all the list of MeSH codes) in the format to add subpage link for example in female genital disease (or inflammation of the female genitals (or entry for male) there could be genital disease, female and a * or something next to the link for that to the relevant section on the "main" or "page above" the entry (female urogenital disease in this example) for example female_urogenital_disease#genital_disease. This would link up the relevant article, and the article section on the main pages that summarize a heading in part or in whole in one of its sections (one final example could be Female_genital_disease and one of the genital disease article's sections being next to that sections main page being the main link in header with the * being for example *.
Hoping that makes sense. No I won't dare touch this template, too difficult. Catcus DeMeowwy (talk) 17:51, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
